Hi everyone, welcome to my channel. Today, we're discussing a very important topic: mixing and layering in textile production. This is something we do regularly in our mills, whether it be cotton or PV blends, where we mix different varieties of materials. The focus is on how to follow a system for effective layering, ensuring that the anti-static agent is evenly mixed, resulting in better working conditions, no blade or shade variations, and optimal performance. Let's explore the precautions we can take to achieve this.
[Layering System]
Let's begin by looking at this picture I've created, which represents the layering system. Suppose we have a mixing quantity of 1500 kg. Within this, we will include a fixed percentage of leftover material from previous runs. Once the waste is collected, it should be integrated with fresh material in layers. For example, if you have 100 kg of fresh material, layer it in sections. You should have 15 layers of fresh material with 5 layers of waste integrated between them, making a total of 20 layers.
Before starting, mark the components needed for each fiber layer and prepare them in 100 kg portions. The green mark represents the waste layer, and after every layer, you should spray an anti-static agent and water solution on top.
[Spray System]
For the spray system, you will need a water tank. Here, I've marked it with green (water), blue (anti-static agent A), and red (anti-static agent B). Use a pump to spray this solution evenly over each layer. Adjust the spray gun for a fine mist that coats the material uniformly. The spray gun should have a knob to control the spray volume, allowing you to adjust it as needed.
[Mixing Preparation]
Now, let's talk about preparing the spray solution. You need to decide on the percentage of water, anti-static agents, and any additional materials. In cold weather, use hot water to ensure the anti-static agents mix thoroughly, as cold water can sometimes prevent them from combining properly.
[Spraying and Layering]
Adjust the spray by rotating the knob, and after every three layers of fresh material, add a layer of waste. If the percentage of waste is lower, you might adjust this to every four or five layers instead. Uniformly apply the spray across each layer, gradually increasing the spray as you reach the top layers, ensuring the total solution is consumed by the time all layers are complete.
[Finishing Touches]
Once the layering is complete, cut the material vertically and mix it by hand, ensuring a homogenous mix. This manual mixing, followed by blending, ensures an even distribution of all materials and chemicals.
[Conclusion]
I hope this explanation helps you understand the layering and mixing process. Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for more insights from Sahoo Textile Academy.
