**Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

Let's layer some paint finishes to create a piece full of depth and interest using blending, including a raised stencil design and applying transfers over texture. This layering of techniques glans up a super plain front dresser

Love this so much, I think this shorter format is great. Using shellac and joint compound terms instead of branded terms almost makes it more accessible. Really looking forward to your content in the new year. 🎉🎉

I'm not one usually for commenting on your posts (but I do like them & love them loads obviously) but I thought it was probably time to stand behind this amazing woman that is you Brandy & hope that by you reading all the lovely comments that have been left for you will help to build you back up again. Don't be afraid, you are such a talent & those that follow & like your work will carry on doing so 🤷🏼‍♀️ BTW never really realized you would need to shellac over the stencil, top tip 😉 Sláinte to your good self from Sue in Ireland 💚

Absolutely gorgeous!! Thx for the tip re the shellac as a barrier. I’m always worried about reactivating the mud when painting over it. I actually used clear coat on a piece that required a lot of repairs and feared reactivating it. Confession: I actually purchased just two transfers (fr a retailer) when the new release happened, both were your designs and I’m in love with both. So I am glad you released this video bc it helps with an idea as to placement, applying it (because it is so large), etc, Can’t wait to see what’s new for you in 2022!! Happy New Year!

You can make your own paste for raised stencils by mixing elmers /PVA/craft glue with baby powder. Works a treat - soft enough to spread but really hardwearing.
