Sooooo many PRETTY layers, Erin!!! I love the look of the die-cut journaling spot BUT when you laid down the avery label and it shows the splatter behind it...you couldn't have seen those gorgeous splatters had you used the journaling spot! I loved that you have a birthday on St. Patrick's Day BUT to find out your Irish too...now, it's even more FUN for you!

Love this layout, not too fussy. I wonder when a single photo page is created why a larger photo isn't used. I always feel the photo is the hero and the decoration just adds to that.

Great question, that is called the Pick Up Tool. It is a wax pencil and the texture of the wax allows it to stick to the small embellishments and paper pieces. When it loses it tackiness you sharpen it just like a pencil. I will leave the link here below but you can also find links to all the products I use in the description box below each video. Hello Carolyn, welcome to the scrapbooking community, this is an amazing hobby! I find the Versa Mat to be super helpful. There are gridlines and measurement marks around all four sides making it easier to line things up on your page. No more crooked strips of paper. There is also a foam cushion on the back that is perfect for stamping. Have you tried stamping yet? I like to use stamped images to create my own custom embellishments.
