I am using writers workshop this year too. I love how you have made it more open and go. I’m using Trello this year for my planning but I really like how you have everything set up in homeschool planet. Her being able to click the link to the lesson is such a great idea. I love the curriculum but I was worrying about it no being as open and go but hopefully I can implement some of your ideas.

That was my issue last year when I bought it. I just didn't have the time to sit down and choose activities. I really think having it ready to go for us is going to change that. You could absolutely still use Google Drive and Classroom to set up something similar. Hope you guys have a wonderful year!

It sounds like natural learning!!! This could be used for my high schooler research projects!!! My high schooler would need me to be more active and he’s 16 and my middle schooler doing high school credits and is doing a social studies research project she could take the guide and use the tips for her project!!! We did a history lesson on Japan and I tasked her to write a research project and I found examples of writing help my older kids to write including one of the teenage athletes I homeschool and I’m guessing the other one the same!!!

I feel like making the Google docs is really going to help for us. I'm able to do the planning in large chucks instead of having to do it each week. I really hope this is the answer for us.

We are planning to use LOL year one for history, science, geography and art. Im pumped because you can make it fit your family, you have so much flexibility! I also like it a bit more open and go so im going to set it up so that it’s pretty easy to execute. My kiddos are still so little so we are leaving out writers workshop for now but definitely something I want to look at in the future!
