I never got interested in urban sketching and I really mean never until I saw your demos and interviews and I was like. Yeah I should probably try it so now I am going to try a lot of urban sketching this 2021. I hope your book gets available here in my country. ❤️

What a beautiful, beautiful book. I'm not an urban sketcher, but the book is so lovely I"m tempted to buy it.

Received and read your book. I always enjoyed drawing outside while attending art school, back in the day. I can’t wait to go out again and give it a try, it should be fun. Thanks Ian for the inspiration.

Beautiful work, and now a starred item on my Christmas list. That but about getting the story is the missing piece for me, I think. Loved the image of Pennsylvania Ave in Cheshire;)

You have an interesting take on perspective. One might expect vertical lines to be just that when a building is drawn in perspective but you often let them run out at the top. This gives an aerial view feel to the picture. It certainly creates some dynamism. Not quite as extreme as Dr Seuss illustrations but interesting all the same.

Thank you for sharing your mindblowing art. I sincerely hope you are aware how inspiring your work is for us to watch. Did you get a new camera by the way? The video image seems to be improved. Looking forward to more of your videos.

I love your style, and I’ve been playing with the idea of making a book similar to yours. One problem I have, is when I scan my artwork from either my sketch book, or pad of watercolor, I get the little “bumps” of the weave of the paper. Is your paper super smooth? How do you get your scans of the images, to blend seamlessly with the white background of the book paper? Mine would takes tons of cleanup to match. Help??

I want this book but I wish you added the references so the reader can see how you interpreted the scene and also, wish you added how to choose the colors based on the references. But overall, I still want this book. ❤️
