Sorry sir but you did not mention that it is actually happened in Arabia but originated in Azerbaijan by Nizami Ganjavi who named after Ganjavi nickname as he was from Ganja, Azerbaijani city and it is so-called best composed story and if you are interested in that poem there is also Mohammed Fuzuli’s version who is also turkish writer of all times. Thank you for your attention!

@Bluish Grey It does not make him Persian because of his written language. The thing is, in this period, the Persian language was the most spoken language, even in Azerbaijan. That is why he chose to write his poems in the Persian language to reach more audiences. He lived and died in Ganja (one of the most ancient Azerbaijani cities). Even now, there are more than 35 million Azerbaijani live in Iran because of Persian imperialism. So, occupied nations' values should not be considered as an occupier country's value.

I'm Majnoon from the East. Loved the girl whom I considered my Laila. Turns out Laila has her Romeo and she isn't my Laila 😭. She is Julieta. I really wanted her to be my Laila. God help me. I can't bear this pain anymore. Hopefully she will be my Laila oneday 😣🙏. There is a hope in my heart ♥.

When you’re in love, it can drive you insane, as that’s what happened to Majnun when he was in love with Layla, who he couldn’t have because her parents object, but it was a similar, but different story when Eric Clapton was in love with Patti Boyd.

Its an Arab story and its real unlike romeo and julite.. and there are many of the same stories in Arab history. Actually there is a tribe here in KSA than named "athar" which driven from the world virgin and its mean Virgin love which love with no sexual desire and interest.. its pure love, and you know why they named like this? because their men are famous of this kind of love and always write poems about their lovers. In Andalusia there is a palace which named after the khalifat lover,, Arabs name their places, houses, rivers, mountings, companies after their lovers,

gosh westerners please please stop messing eastern names permenantly. Its NOT lay-la(layla) its Lie-la (leila) and its not Maj-noon (majnun) its just Maj-noo (majnu). How many centuries you are going to do this.. Our cities, our text, our philosophies, our culture is littered with mangled western pronounciation in every country you guys visited. Can we at least not create new ones in 21st century. Please please ask and take soem effort to find the original words and pronounciation and use that. Is that so much to ask for when we take so much effort to not change any single western name or city or town or country's name. I plead of you guys. Its annoying.
