I bought myself a piano (Yamaha, Electric) because I was inspired by all of the wonderful musicians I keep finding on KZbin, without a doubt, it is by far the very best investment i have made in my entire life! +Nick Joslin thanks for the advice. I will certainly be starting as a beginner. At school we had letters on the keys. Would someone be able to play this and others like it with letters for instance?
@joslinnick8 жыл бұрын
If you need letters on the keys, this piece is certainly not within your ability range. This is something that you will need to work up to over several years of practice after you have gotten comfortable interpreting sheet music.

@sharonpark79639 жыл бұрын
Actually an excellent job on this piece! You are an awesome player and should be very proud of yourself; as I'm sure you are. I literally stood and applauded you even though I was sitting here alone listening to you play; it deserved a standing ovation. Your humble thumbs up at the conclusion was hopefully your acknowledgement that you indeed nailed it, spot on! I've been working for some time now, without any sheet music, just trying to get the melody down well enough to play along anytime "Layla" comes on the radio or is selected from our iTunes collection. There's absolutely no way I would ever have been able to fully figure out the left hand accompaniment without seeing you play it, although I've gotten it down close enough to pass it off on those who really don't know or have a true ear for music. Watching you, I suddenly have a much keener sense of where I'm off and what I'm doing wrong. I have tried to download the music a few times from different sources, but my computer has issues that can only be compared to a rebellious teenager who refuses to obey my wishes because they believe that they, of course, already know everything. I will continue trying however, as I AM persistent if nothing more. Where there is a will, there is a way... and there are always more than the obvious ones to "skin a cat," so to speak (I do like cats by the way, so please forgive the analogy).Consequently, I have grown very accustomed to improvising. I don't know what aspirations you may have for your future, nor do I know how old your are, but I absolutely believe you should definitely continue pursuing your musical talent. it is COMPLETELY obvious that you not only have honest talent, but that you have a pure passion for it. I certainly don't see just another kid whose parents forced them into piano lessons from the day they could walk and which resulted in your performance here, because of the uncountable hours of practice they tortured you with. Best of luck to you. Again, it was a very pleasurable experience to hear you play.

Excellent job with the phrasing, nice subtle landings on some of the softer notes and hard percussiveness elsewhere when appropriate. So many ppl just butcher their way through this part of the song. Actually, schmaltzing it up *even more* would be OK in my book - more dynamic differences and tempo changes at just the right moments would bring out the beauty of this music even more!
