A folk post-love song inspired by The Mountain Goats and Neutral Milk Hotel. I wrote this with a headache

The only boy I've ever loved, shed tears not of his own, said my stress fit like a glove, for on his mind it was sown

I really like your song and it's great to listen to it while sitting on the balcony watching spring come, but I'm having trouble deciphering the lyrics. Thank you for the kind words. The thorn on his side lyric is a reference to a song by The Smiths and means someone who's constantly annoyed/irritated. The "goats" lyric is about the folk band named the Mountain Goats
