Okay in SWE role there is no cost for AI automation may be some in customer service but not for Software development. What I analyzed is 1. Over hiring during covid with astronomical salary 2. Laying off people with high salary and rehire people with less salary 3. restructuring techies towards AI and invest more into AI. None of the company are profitable because of AI as they have huge training cost or huge API cost. This is opportunity for people in service based, or small startup to target big tech because we will ask less salary than people getting laid off. India market hiring will bump as US people gets laid off is what i feel.

More context = my brother works at swiggy he said the people who have been taking high salaries are laid off and also swiggy wil rehire for those same positions month later , all I now know is there won't be huge package for folks anymore for sde roles but if you truly love what you do don't worry about these there will always be a way.
