Fascinating. Reminds me that building one and adding scenery is so much fun!

You mention modules but you refer to a "club: layout. I see what looks like module junctions with bridge tracks. So is this portable? This 48 inch wide area must be "played" from both sides?
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is a modular club layout, and can be taken down and transported. However, it's becoming more and more of a "semi-permanent" layout as it's just gotten too big and impractical to move. So it stays put, and yeah, some areas of the layout can be worked form both sides.

What DCC system do you use? Are you part of Prairierails? Are you set up to use smart phones for controllers?
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
We use Digitraxx and no, we have never been on the Prarie Rails tour. But yes, we can use our phones as controllers too with the Engine Driver ap.

1:30 Ahhh, that row of steam bulls. What's an ARMN reefer??
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
ARMN is the reporting marks Union Pacific uses on their modern day reefers. In this video you can see them at 4:30.

were the service facility and car shop kit bash or are that that big? love the videos, your videography is first rate.
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, appreciate it. The two shops are both kits by Walthers from their Cornerstone series.

Do you use cork roadbed or is the track laid directly on the boards?
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
The mainlines are on regular cork roadbed while the yards either on 1\8" sheet cork, or in the case of this new addition, directly on the plywood.

Just wondering how many engines can sit in the whole yard area?
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
I don't honestly know. I've never totally filled it up. But there's at least 100 or so there.
@mtk44mk6 жыл бұрын
Which Scale test cars do you have?? Would like details on them of possible..
@RailfanJason6 жыл бұрын
The one I have is from Walthers. I don't really ever use it, it's more of a yard filler/looks thing.
