It is time to get rid of the pink foam shelf section I had. It worked for a few years but I never finished it like I wanted to. Plus with some derailments due to some warping and sagging, it was time to go.

Imaginary lake, unless I change the carpet to a blue color.

Hi Bob. Sorry for not watching your channel as much as I used to. It’s because I’ll kinda miss the videos with you and James since James has moved. I’m sure you’ll visit James someday. I’m still more into N scale if you’re wondering. So far I enjoyed the upgrade. Now to see part 2 that you just upload. Happy N scale railroading.

Thanks for sharing. I am about to transfer a track plan and I ususally go the carbon paper method. I paint my benchwork a light gray color and then the carbon shows up well when marking.

Awesome update Bob...thanks for sharing and keep up the great work...Lance.. my question is I'm on the fence post between ho and n scale...which way do I go..
@DaBobsNScaleMancave2 жыл бұрын
Consider these three things, space for a starter layout and further expansion with the min radius in mind, cost of the materials and train stock you are willing to pay for, and your physical abilities to see the details of N vs HO. You can also consider any significant other in your home as to what they will let you do or help out with building. I had to ask my wife first and let her come up with the design suggestions.

I have a shed that is 12 by 36...

@@lionellance Nice. HO would fit in there but could quickly start feeling cramped. N can as well, but you can do a lot more and use less space. Remember to leave space for storage and a modeling work area has to go somewhere. Heating and cooling should be included, otherwise track expansion\contraction issues along with benchwork shifting will be a problem in there. I may be biased but I would go with N scale so that there is room for buildings and mountains on the layout, long runs and yards would fit easier. Or you can do a point to point HO layout on a smaller scale. Many options to choose from.

Is that a mirror from a car or something
@DaBobsNScaleMancave2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is, I had to replace a mirror on an old Taurus and saved the mirror part. I use it to see where the nail holes are in the track and various other things like track straightness.
