This was a great tutorial for me b/c I'm new to acrylics thinning, tinting etc., so a new subscriber for sure. p.s. spent 6 years between Long Beach and San Diego 60+ years ago.

Man, the pavement at WestPac came out great! The rest will look good when it dries, I'm sure. Good to see Benjaman again. You kinda scare me with your carefree style of painting and glueing 😆

Nice update. I love scenery related videos and watching how others do it. It takes a special modeler and viewer to sit an watch paint dry, lol. Things are looking nice. You clearly have obtained some very good results but here's something to think about. If you pat the ballast down between the rails and below the ties after it is applied that alleviates having to do much after the glue has set. In other words, it's a time saver. Additionally, you may have done this offline but wondered if you checked the evenness of the pavement where the building will sit. Again it could help with time in the future and prevent having to sand away more material to get the building to sit the way you want it to.

I think your new locomotive should be an old ALCO S2/4 to work on that area. An SP S4 would be nice.

Interesting technique. I wonder if you could match that pavement in the background photo with the road in front of it? It would help "sell it" if the pavement was much closer to matching. Otherwise it is coming along.

Yes I agree, that would be nice to match the colors.
