I had my own doll made when I was a kid for a Christmas/birthday present. It was a "My Twin" doll (American Girl size) where you sent in a picture of yourself and they made the doll based on that picture. $200 altogether for it to look like a middle aged soccer mom whose job is a substitute teacher. I'm in my 30s and still upset with that lol

I was born in the US in the 2000’s so obviously I wasn’t here for this, but when my mother was a child in Turkey, she had a Cindy doll- no Barbies really existed there, and people were so jealous of her for having a Cindy doll! She only had two dolls, ever. One girl got so jealous she broke her Cindy’s leg (It’s like made out of this rubbery plastic that can bend) and my mom actually cried about it a lot. She even used to stitch clothes for it. Now I have it. Ik it’s a knock-off but for me I will always love it because it has sentimental value to me. ❤️ (Also idk if they sold the same Cindy there but the one my mom has looks like a legit barbie and is actually cute, this Addison Rae doll is horrific 😭)

I used to have dolls as a kid, but I never played with them. I liked how they looked, how perfect and pretty they were. The only time I would take them out of the box was to pose them. My family must have spent thousands of dollars on all the dolls I had and the variety, especially my Grandfather. American Girl dolls, Monster high Dolls, Barbies, Ever After High, I had all of them. I still have most of them, and I still haven't taken a lot of them out of the boxes. ANYWAY, I would never want this doll to lay FOOT in my awesome collection, and why does it look so cheap 😭💀

I remember I would have to get these knock off dolls since my family at the time couldn’t buy me them since they were very expensive, they had these googly eyes and long fake eye lashes and would break apart very easily if you moved there arms or legs, their clothes you would have to take their heads off if you wanted to put them one. You can buy these dolls for as cheap as 90 cents and sometimes for $1.25 if you wanted a dress to come with it. Even with this description I would rather buy those because at least the people who made them knew they were trash and sold them as such, Addison is acting as if she created the ultimate kids toy that even if you grew up you would buy them despite it looking so scary and not looking like her at all yet she sells them for over $100
