I know I'm very late but if you never got past the boat getting stuck, which I also faced just now. The answer is instead of placing the water in the corners, place them next to the pressure plate's block on both side and it will never get stuck again. This does in fact work as of 1.19.2 I have xearos minimal and can see about 5 to 8 witches spawn each time the water goes off and then they entity cramp and die this farm is still active and does work if it dont you either need to do one of the following things :make sure you are 105 blocks above the fatn exactly:check if there is a cave underneath the farm :spawn proof the surrounding area with torches about 30 blocks out . But I can confirm it works 19.2

@@Kilman-mr5fg What version are you in? I'm stuck in Java 1.16 [computer]. The best drop rates are probably achieved by spawn-proofing all the caves around the witch farm. I've seen the caves in 1.19 and it's a monumental task to light them all up (especially without spectator mode).

Just wanted to bring to your attention that most of your videos have an item list for building that are wrong or missing items, for example, Missing from the description: 1/2 Buckets 1 Rail (to place hopper minecart) 1 Piston (to push block into hopper minecart) 1 Lever (to activate the piston) I would also recommend using at least 11 stacks of building blocks because i had to grab more while in the middle of building it. You wrote trapdoor twice in the description, not a hater, just wanted to let you know. :)

You can switch the boat timer for a redstone clock but its more expensive. You can switch the 24 minecarts and just leave it empty and the witches will die after the 25th one spawns, minecart entity cramming doesnt work consistently on paper servers. Spawn proof the area with torches including the caves. Afk somewhere at least 24 blocks away but no more than 128 blocks. If the trapdoors leak water you can just use multiple dispensers to push them to the edge also. This is a beginner farm so he has used the most basic material’s possible but it can be improved if you are past the early game stage

@@mkultra5122 Just use a simple hopper redstone clock, all the boat is doing is activating the trapdoors on a timer so you can switch it for any other form of timer if you have the materials. I like the ones with hoppers pointing into each other because you can adjust it to your liking. I switched the clock out for tripwires on in the farm so when it witch spawns it hits the wire and dispenses the water

the game makes less attempts to spawn when mobs are already in the chunk, so better to have the minecarts.

7 / 10 - build works great, but the guide forgets important things you need! Additional Materials Needed: 2x Water Buckets (make an infinite source nearby; you'll place 32 source blocks in this build), 1x Rail, 1x Piston (temporary), 1x Lever (temporary). When it says 64+ slabs: it will take 82 slabs or 1 stack + 18 as long as you don't stack slabs to make a full block anywhere. The scaffolds get you from the roof of the build to the afk platform, but you'll need a way to go up 9-10 blocks from the ground to the scaffolds if you don't have an Elytra. I recommend vines/ladder or a staircase covered in slabs to prevent mob spawns. Finally as others have mentioned if you clear out and light up the ground about 40 blocks out from each side of the build, you'll significantly improve drop rates.

@@isaachjorthcoomer2610 Make a line of repeaters going one way, then another line going back the other way, right beside the first line. Connect the repeaters with 4 pieces of redstone dust. Replace one of the dusts with a comparator, click it once to put it in subtract mode, then put a lever behind it (opposite the repeater). The lever will toggle the clock on and off, and you can adjust the repeater delay for whatever you want. Either put a block with dust on it somewhere in the loop, or grab the signal off the end dust.

Hello, So I saw this video for witch farm and looks easy but nothing about if it’s ok for bedrock or not. So decided to build it and half way through my trapdoor either hold the water and nothing moves even if you open them or they flow though them. I start to read the comments and now I see it’s not workable for Bedrock. I wish you would have mentioned this in your description or put in the title. Waste of my time now

Try dispensers instead of trap doors. Should get the same effect of water trapped behind the doors, i used that on my food farms. Holds up well

mobs can only spawn in the dark and if you want the spawner to work during the day you need the giant roof doesn't apply to this farm though ( side note it costs less materials to put large roof on over boxing the entire thing up )

It is really good farm for beggining. I really needed redstone and after afking for 3-4 hours I got 6stacks of redstone. I need 20 you would mine more in those 4 hours. But for afking really good free fire resistance potions. I was curious if I can make efficient farm by building more floors

Check if you have caves below with mobs spawning in them, which might get in the way of the mob cap. Also try raising the afk spot by 10 blocks.

It’s to do with render distances. You only load a certain area around you, so if you’re on the ground you could be spawning mobs in caves or around you. This means a lot less are spawning in the farm, because they have other spawnable locations. By building up to the specific level that only the farm is within this range, it means that the only location mobs can spawn is in the farm and is a major mechanic behind it working.

Farm outputs 960 items per hour at most in its current state (Ran 10 tests with 72000 tick warps for each run, with doDaylightCycle false and always day time.) so nowhere near 1500+ as you have mentioned. Ofc after spawn proofing the the swamp and implementing a sleeping pod to prevent night time in case spawn proofing wasnt enough, the farm gets to 1300 items/h. Please update the misleading title.

It has to do with a game mechanic called "entity cramming". Basically when there's 25 entities in a single block, the 25th entity will suffocate. This mechanic is meant to reduce lag on your world, but it's also very usefull in this cases. ;)

My hopper minecart sticks out of the block inside a bit, like 10% sticks out, can it be that it is in the wrong direction? It seems like yours is switching directions when braking the rail. Also after afk 15 min I only got 1/3 of your drops and all my minecarts are doing a hell of a noise

Certain mobs on bedrock have certain blocks the mob can spawn on. In witch huts you can find that block by filling it with glass panes. The witch will spawn on the northwestern corner of its spawning block and will be trapped in the glass panes
