Lazar Berman! Here for once he is found as cheery and upbeat. 'Am so glad to learn that he could be, for all the other times I'd observed him, he seemed very sad. Perhaps it was due to that he was in France.

I had the pleasure of meeting L.B. at a record signing in California in 1978. I gushed my admiration for him for almost two minutes before I realized he didn't speak English! Nevertheless, we did manage to communicate coherently, and he was so nice and gracious. He was phenomenal in concert! An eternal BRAVO!!👏😁💯🎶🎹
