As an Assyriologist and WoD fan I want to point out that "ur" (as in Ur-Šulgi or Ur-Ba'al) is a common Sumerian name element and means "servant". Every time I read Ur III administrative documents that mention the personal name Ur-Šulgi I have to giggle ;)

People have been kicking around the 'Ur-Shulgi is a Baali' theory since Revised. There's evidence supporting it but also a lot that contradicts it. If/when I get to the Baali (Clan? Or Bloodline?), I'll probably talk about how they create Apostates and use fellow travelers.

Actually in both games it is possible to play as an assamite thanks to the use of mods, Age of Redemption for redemption which also adds the lasombra and setites, the final nights for bloodlines which allows you to play as a vampire from different clans and bloodlines including the Assamites (the other clans/bloodlines being the setites, salubri, baali, samedi, osebo and ishtari for those interested), TFN also makes the game harder by limiting the xp you get and needing to plan ahead adding a greater challenge to the game for someone that has played o death like me but that is neither here nor there. Honestly in both games the only clan you can't play as is the Tzimisce, probably because of how hard vicissitude would be to incorporate.

@@lazarofstygia2241 I would Highly recommend the TFN mod however only if have extensive knowledge of the game (which I'm sure you do seeing how big of a VTM fan you are) and are ready for a challenge cause as I said it is much harder due to limited XP.
