I feel like this match shows what Matty is capable of. He puts up some incredible times at home, and now he has done so in a competitive format, winning against Yiheng.

Bro I’ve been saying this since 2021, Matty (in form) is the best cuber in the world. He has insane potential if he doesn’t lock up (which he often does) The same can be said for other cubes yes, but the degree of which lockups affect Matty’s times are way more significant than other cubers. A smooth matty is an unbeatable matty

Yiheng is insanely good, and will only get better with time. It is good that he is constantly exposed to solving under high pressure, because he really needs an environment where he can hammer out his nerves. He is so young, he will have plenty of time to enter total domination of speed cubing.

Are there new rules on refing or someone scrambling the cube for them? I know in the past it was on honor system and theyd scramble their own cubes and then put them straight in the box, but Yiheng seems to have his parent helping out. Is he just doing that volutarily?
