So much nostalgia. When I was in high school I was always listening to synthwave and vaporwave, lot's of lofi and chillstep too. At the time these new internet-genres we're looked down on, so the communities were niche and tight excluding a few breakout hits like Resonance and lofi as a whole which still sees widespread popularity. But synthwave and especially vaporwave were seen as kinda goofy by people that didn't get it. Now it all seems like ancient history, but at the time it really did feel like you were in a cozy niche community when you'd listen to and discuss these songs online. It was like 2016 so to say the internet was large and extremely populated would be a super understatement, but idk it just feels like it was smaller and cozier than, at least compared to now. The same way older people feel bad for the young guys that'll never experience IRCs and chatrooms, I kinda feel bad for the younger ppl just now experiencing the internet who will forever miss out on the raw state of expression it existed in in the 2010s. Not that it's gone, it's just change into something different.

Anemoia is a word coined by The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, which means: nostalgia for a time you've never known. I believe that at our core, we all are deeply desiring of a world where justice and liberation dominate our social fabric. A time we have not yet seen, yet inherently yearn for.

I get literal goosebumps and I get this feeling deep in my soul, it's like it taps into my spirit, I can feel every drum, every string, the way the bass shakes me, all I do is remember my cousins and my grandmas r.i.p .. it makes me think about all the people I love so much, it makes me appreciate my life, I can't explain it, words don't do it justice. The more the song continues I feel like I'm floating into another place, kind of like astro projecting my spirit.. the way this is magic for me you, I hope it's the same for all of you listening to this

I think this is honestly one of the best videos ever made on KZbin. It is just so perfect; the atmosphere, the cartoon selection, and the song choice flow together so smoothly. Its a modern song, but it is so fitting that this very well could have been the theme song for Silver Hawks. I do enjoy chillwave as a subgenre of electronic music, partly because I like some 80s tunes but also because it has a modern twist. Oddly, it works. This song is the epitome of what it should be: relaxing and euphoric. And like the other user said, it "hits the same way every time." I could not agree more. I do feel nostalgic only because I remember watching these older shows (not Silver Hawks in particular). They were simpler times. I love this video but more importantly I love the song. What a great video.

honest here. since i found this song and video, i always come back to it. that was already before the reupload. Srs to say, it has t be now longer than 5, 6 years ago and this song, and video, still leaves this old nostalgie feeling in me. If it is the combo of the old cartoon and the music or the possibility that it really is a childhood memory - fact is, this music got for me something like an evergreen-status. I can hear it every day with this oddly warm feeling of the "good old times" and memories i might never had but still dream off. I'm pretty sure that this version and "Visitors" version are different masters of this song. The "Visitors" version (from Spotify) has a way more aggressive bass synth; the drums and the guitar also sound quite different, like they're completely sunken on reverb or something. The most noticeable difference is the background high synth, it sounds so bright in the other version to the point of being just straight annoying. Idk if its actually a different master or if it's just KZbin compression, but I really prefer this version because it clips/distorts way less, and it's way less bright. Overall, it just fits way better the mood this song gives, even though it sounds more "dull". Thanks for the reupload :)
@serkanbudur4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for bringing this up! I even went ahead and bought the FLAC file and even there the high pitch is unbearable to listen to and very fatiguing. It probably has to do with compression why this version here is a lot less bright. And I enjoy it much more!
