How are those pages making money on content where they only post photos? I thought facebook only monetizes In-Stream Ads/Ads on Reels/Stars/Subscriptions ? Is it possible to make money from photos? Also - do you know if UK is included in bonus program?

Yes. Facebook pays for photos as well. Some creators have access to stars on photos and others and some have the performance bonus which pays for everything you post except reels and stories.

Mezza created Instagram videos to compete with TikTok. In order to get people to watch reels on Instagram and Facebook they are paying creators to make better reels or at least upload their best content to the platform. Right now they lose money with reels because they can’t show enough ads to people while they watch them. While people are watching Facebook reels they are not inside the Facebook news feed. The Facebook newsfeed is where Facebook makes its bread and butter from advertising because people scroll through the content so quickly. So to offset people spending more time on the reels, they started the performance bonus, so the creators would create better content for the newsfeed and keep people engaged there as well. This is something they are working on continually. Once they figure out how to show is Minnie at in reals is they can in stories and lose feet, and they become profitable. They will not have any more incentive to offer the bonuses. The bonuses have always been presented is temporary and seasonal. They are not regular monetization tools.

Nah Facebook isn’t going anywhere as long as businesses find their customers there. Google and Facebook account for 48 to 50% of all digital ads spend in the US. They may not be popular with young audiences but they are number one for businesses looking for customers with money. They are not going anywhere anytime soon.

It’s going to be pretty much the same as any other page, but in the beginning you will not have anyone watching your content so I would recommend spending some money to grow my audience first, and then I have people to actually view my contacts engage with it and give me more organic reach.
