Yes, i like the idea that you actually become, ever so slightly, stronger the more you play
@CaptainNarwhal19972 күн бұрын
I like the idea of manufacturer proficiencies since it seems like most players tend to gravitate towards a specific manufacturer or two anyway such as fan favorites Jakobs or Torgue (or my beloved Tediore)

I'd be happy if the game ships with a level cap of 72 instead of 4 or 5 patches to get to that. I stopped playing for 3-4 years because I got fed up with constant levelling up and re-farming but I did enjoy the challenges in BL3 and still do even today. Killing X amount of enemies with barrels and so on is great fun and I play with guardian rank on.
@Ashwagandi2 күн бұрын
I think a mix of BL1 and BL2 with the change of it being manufacturer based would be cool. The more you use a certain manufacture the more minute buffs you could get. Jackobs could get damage and crit damage, maliwan could get dot dmg and duration etc.

I like Weapon proficiencies from Borderlands 1. Makes it easier to be different than others. Bl3 is second simply because you can use them in your build
@KittyShadowcat3 күн бұрын
BL1 proficiencies have always been my favourite. Rewarding for using specific weapon types. It just makes it feel like your character is becoming naturally more comfortable and powerful at using certain weapons. Makes it feel more unique to your character. Which is why I'd also like to see the new BL4 system be locked to each character save instead of the profile save. Always felt weird to make that a brand new character is just inherently strong because you've already put hundreds of hours into the game. It can distract from the characters/ builds own unique strengths
@LazyData3 күн бұрын
Well the idea of new characters getting the bonuses is making 2nd characters quicker to level. But i defo agree with you I enjoyed proficiences alot!

I think badass ranks should be worked into the og system to where using different guns grant you different perks while using that.
@MentalMars3 күн бұрын
Yes, more like Guardian Rank - while some perks were just base game QoL improvements in TTWL - I like the fact that it basically doubled as a Battle Pass/Vault Card. It kept you playing and you got things to show off your accomplishments. "Weapon Proficiency bad" because it penitalized you from switching weapon types but Borderlands 1 did that in many other ways as the skill trees were also weapon type focused. If I remember correctly weapon proficiency was available from the start while Guardian Rank & Myth Rank unlock at (base game) Max Level. What if they moved Weapon proficiency to the End Game so it targets the audience that's into that stuff.

I like interacting with proficiences esp during playthrough runs.i'd like active from new game esp if it's character based

Badass rank could evolve into something different. The way I see BA rank is it's meant to be an endgame stat boost system. I think it'd be cool if they implemented an endgame non-class specific skill tree system for this. Right now, you hit max level, and progression ends. It's only gear from then on. I think the Borderlands series could experiment with endgame progression a little more and BA rank could be a good space to utilize considering my lack of care for it in most games (guardian rank skills were definitely noticeable). It could stay similar to guardian rank and it'd be fine, but I'd like to see them experiment with it personally... as long as they don't pull a classic Gearbox whiff.
@LazyData3 күн бұрын
Gearbox are very good at the gearbox whiff
@Gash_Kobeth3 күн бұрын
I don't want to see proficiency with weapons but maybe we could have allegiance for manufacturers giving you xp for a specific manufacturer when you use their weapons and gear and have skill trees associated with each manufacturer with various skills that boosts just general things that makes sense for that manufacturer, for exemple Vladof having skills that boosts fire rate, Maliwan boosting elemental effects, Torgue with splash damage, Hyperion accuracy, etc...
@ScowleasyКүн бұрын
I liked myth ranks in WL giving you actual stats like move speed or +character traits; but yeah it would be a nightmare to have something like that in BL4

Manufacturer proficiencies would be super cool

4:25 I despise this kind of reasoning gearbox has developed. It’s the same reasoning they gave for why there are no dlc characters in bl3. If they’re going to base their choices on how many people have done something then they all should just pack up and find a different profession. Because I just looked at the “cool story, bro” trophy on PlayStation and only 24.4% of players have gotten it. The people who weren’t taking advantage of the proficiencies in bl1 were NEVER going to stick around to begin with

BL is an RPG. Part of the fun of an RPG for me is eventually getting so ridiculously powerful that you oneshot EVERYTHING and are, for all intents and purposes, unkillable. I wanna work for it, but let me become a god and whoever doesn't want that can turn it off.
@WillFuIКүн бұрын
I would love for being able to turn it on in settings. I never play with gr and find the constant u have guardian rank points to spend so annoying. Make it so we can turn it off in settings and it won’t annoy u about having points to spend. U still gain thr xp or whatever but don’t annoy me about it.

I don't mind the badass rank but it needs to have a hard cap so it doesn't make the player way too over powered.

Which is exactly why Guradian rank was so good. I have many hours in BL3 but i have now spent every point and still comfy playing with it on. vs BL2 which I turned off 1000s of hours ago
