God....Lazytown (or whatever it is you called it) puts my town to shame...My town has a lot of negative space, is not very tightly packed at all, and the roads look like they were mapped by a toddler. You should do a tutorial-like video on planning a good city.

@Skippy198129 жыл бұрын
Mine's kind of the opposite. I've got approximately 100,000 people in the space of about two squares. Everything is too tightly packed and the noise from the traffic is actually killing people (which is awesome.)

its really easy.. the trick is to use six lane one way roads or highways on the sides, with alternating 2 lane one way roads in the middle making a grid pssibly wiht a two lane road slicing the sections if the trfic is really bad. basically like the beach said city part in my city: prntscr.com/6fyabz otherwise make the little neighbourhoods i hve for offices (oneway cicles with 2way roads connecting them)

I can accept the argument that it's a country-builder because technically that's what the setup is, but it's truly more of a 'country the size of a city...builder.'. You have to imagine it like a real city. I used to be just like you, but I was focusing on the money, and all of the other stuff that sort of happens in the background. I usually focus on the aesthetics, because when it come down to it, the way your city looks is the main things that matters (at least to me). I started watching tow you tubers, and that's when my cities got a lot more satisfying and enjoyable, because they gave some really cool inspiration and showed me how to just slow down and focus to make it perfect. Hydro dams are my favorite and worst thing about this game. When they work, they’re an amazingly clean and powerful electricity source. But at their worst, they not only cost money to do nothing, but they’ll flood your riverside high-rises several times a decade, and constantly take out your metro system because the stations are flimsy as flan.

***** That would actually be cool. Like now you gave me an idea for a kick ass game! You take the building and management of Cities Skylines, and combine it with multiplayer real time war elements. It could be released as an expansion pack: Cities Skylines: Battlelines. You build up your city, but you also have to build up an army as well, and protect yourself from attacks from other players! How would that not be the coolest thing ever?
@TheLukesterGaming9 жыл бұрын
I remember seeing a funny little video before from the end of someones livestream, where they built a dam and accidentally flooded their city/neighbourhood, which was quite insane but pretty amusing to watch! That had nothing at all on this though, this was just utter MADNESS to say the least, all those poor people at the mercy of your god-like hands of fate, of which there was nothing in your power that you could do to save a single soul D: But yeah, that was pretty freaking spectacular to say the least hahaha! Really looking forward to seeing more Cities: Skylines videos from you :) Btw, am I the only one who wants to see Lazyopolis (sp?) suffer at the hands of a massive flood like this!?

Definitely picked this one up after I watched the review. I am a bit disappointed with the function gating through population numbers, but I understand why. Regional lots being locked away is also kind of weird too. I built my own map already in the editor, and I loved the water tools, despite how funky they act. I think one BIG update or mod would be the ability to switch the one-way road direction with some kind of toggle or option, so if you're not deleting an entire road and rebuilding it, as it's already a bit of a pain to make those 3-lane highways, when your OCD kicks in and wants you to match them side-by-side. xD Other than those few complaints, I'm definitely enjoying this game. Glad I bought it versus the new SimCity and/or some of the more recent city sims.
