As far as I can tell, the best way to use the D-flip dice is on quality 0 items, since the quality adds up to 4 total. So a quality 0 item turns into quality 4, Q1 turns into Q3, and Q2 turns into Q2.

So D Flip is an interesting item. It rerolls items like a D6, but: * It tends to ignore item pools, ala Chaos. Not sure if this is a bug or not * The rerolled item's quality is usually the inverse of the original, so Q0 items reroll into Q4 items, Q1 items reroll into Q3 items, and Q2 items will always be Q2 * Rerolling the item again will change it back to the previous item, similarly to Tainted/Soul of Isaac * Certain items have fixed rerolls (Cricket's Head Cricket's Body, PHD False PHD, Cube of Meat Ball of Bandages, etc.)
