Experimental Treatment's Tears Down is actually a fire rate down, the same stat that Cancer & Mom's Perfume affect (changes the tear cap). Divorce Papers only gives a tear rate up, and since you were still capped on tears when you received Experimental, it had no effect. Capricorn, however, is a fire rate up as well as a tears up, meaning it's like really cool and good and increased your cap back to normal.

You asked this the other day with boss rush, but to answer the question: specialist dance has a bug where if it happens in a room where the music track can change (mainly boss rush and boss challenge rooms) it glitches out and either plays the normal floor music or no music at all

I also focus on the video which is the reason why it's so confusing to me. I recently actually unlocked tainted Azazel and got all but beast completion marks on regular Azazel. Hey Matt: experimental treatment's tear modifier is one of those that ignores the tear cap - when it lowers your tears it locks them at 4.5. Since Capricorn is another one of those items that goes past the cap, it restored them to 3.33

Deep pockets forces drops meaning it functions the same way perfection would but just for coins. Taking guppy's tail removes 33% of coin drops but makes it so that 50% of times deep pockets work one of the coins is replaced by a chest. A fun synergy is getting. Multiple guppy's tails which converts a single coin drop in the amount of chests equal to your amount of tails with no other consequences. This synergy works with glyph of balance and you can do the same with contract from below, the amount of items lost are still only 33% regardless of how many you have.

Experimental treatment can lower your fire rate by 0.5, lowering your max tears cap. Capricorn is an all stats up, more notably being a 0.5 fire rate up, raising your max tear cap, which is why it gave a tears up but divorce papers didn't.

I've gotta share my recent broken run because I don't have any Isaac friends that truly understand how cracked it was lol So. I'm aiming for Mega Satan as regular Beth. FIRST FLOOR 1% PLANETARIUM. Disaster strikes and I can't find any keys but ROCK BOTTOM IN THE SECRET ROOM so it's all ok now. I find hallowed ground for that massive tears buff and then holy mantle, get perfection for that silly luck boost. 3 dollar bill and dead eye give me MORE stat boosts. Then I find red key with about 30 soul charges ready to go for SO much extra stuff, most notably eye of the occult and a red room planetarium that gives me pluto I make it to chest and I'm already pretty broken, I open the first four chests and what do I get? THE D6. I also have schoolbag so I can take it AND the red key. So I go around full clearing, getting a bunch of red rooms, get conjoined, find flat stone and euthanasia, and after a couple rolls the first room gives me haemolacria. With rock bottom. And like 12 tear rate. AND flat stone. My fps HATES it but I end up with basically a carpet of bouncy tears I can push around to obliterate everything. Mega Satan dies very VERY fast and unfortunately I don't get delirium but my game probably would have crashed if I got many more items haha. And to think it all started by missing a first floor planetarium The seed was DL23 MHE7 on base repentance, I don't have dead god so I dunno how different it'll be for someone that does. Fun times though!
