Yea item weight can make some items wild rare. Spindown die in the item room only has a weight of 0.1 (every item has 1 as the base value), meaning you are 90% less likely to encounter it than any other item. It's essentially just not in the pool at that point, especially considering how dense the item pool is. Personally I think every low weight item should have one pool where it has a normal weight, which is usually the case, but dang if Mega Blast isn't done dirty by its 0.2 item weight in a pool that you don't get many pulls of on an average run. Also, fun fact, you can find Mom's Knife in the Mom chest before Dogma. Super rare to happen with a 0.1 weight, but still a fun thing
