1 thing people don't really get about Powder's breakdown is that she isn't acting like that because her sister left. Powder actually figures out what Vi is planning to do at the end of episode 2 and makes peace with it. One of the main reason Vander figures out what is happening is the way Powder is acting. The thought of her entire family going into certain death is what causes her episode.

I never get the lack of empathy for Powder. She's a multiply traumatized kid whose parents were murdered in front of her, her life is an oppressed population, she's constantly torn down by Milo as she grows up, her new father figure is kidnapped by literal monsters, and all her adopted siblings are going off to save him and she is left completely alone. Powder isn't at fault, the adults who created the hell she is in are. She is a finite, limited person like all of us who was put under a strain no one could come out of normal. Her intentions are good. She could not foresee the consequences at her age and knowledge. I find it sad that there is so much judgment on her character.

Not sure why reactors keep getting Vi seeing the monkey head scene wrong. Vi doesn't know Powder caused the explosion Vi doesn't know the crystals are explosive and Powder's bombs have never worked. Vi is crying because she thinks Powder showed up and is also dead like her brothers. Logically would Vi let Powder hold onto explosive crystals? No. Also she would take them herself to use as weapons.

@@harryballsak1123 sry mate i am 500% sure you are wrong and its crazy how wrong you are ... vi knows that powder always tryto make bombs and then she sees the exploded monkey head and powder coming. she makes her responsible for the explosion like for sure WHAT ON EARTH are you even talking about ???? vi isnt mad powder just showed up shes mad powder accidently killed her whole family ... its funny how you dont get it and then think others are the idiots but then its always the idiots who think they are the smartest xD

@@DaxRaider When Vi is trapped and sees the monkey head she does NOT know Powder was the caused of the explosion. Based on what? Why would she ask "You did this?" later after Powder finds her and says "My monkey bomb finally worked" Please explain what basis would Vi have for knowing Powder caused the explosion when she's is trapped under the door and sees the monkey head?

Well she's both. She's a victim of the systemic societal failures of Piltover, and the subsequent years worth of Silco's emotional abuse. She also eventually becomes a victimizer herself, perpetuating the cycle of abuse onto others just as it was done to her. Hurt people hurt people as they say. You can sympathize with Powder as a victim without pretending she's innocent, and you can acknowledge how Powder's transgressions hurt others and ruined lives without dismissing the life of tragedy, illness and trauma that shaped her.

You do have to take into account though (nerd thought) that if Powder hadn't showed up Vai would have been dead, they all would. They were busted locked in a room with the monster beating at the door. Odds were not in their favor.
