I'm not sure the load you can do on your dyno but that makes a huge difference for diesels. It's more important for the higher hp trucks, but it's why you see guys with the rear parking brake on when on the dyno. They release it at some point in the run. This is on a dyno that can't provide the load the truck wants to see.

Curious what happens when you have too much fuel down low, does it still make more power? trying to figure out why so many tunes just dump in so much fuel down low before its ontop of boost.

LB7 is the only duramax with the wastegate on the turbo. The rest use VGT. Might be gummed up or have diaphragm issues if you are seeing different power for the same runs

Got a lift pump added to it? If not, maybe it's sucking a feed line closed randomly.

Log trans slip? Sure the ECU was actually giving you the requested pulse width and timing? How much did you increase boost? Yes, you can overfuel and make less hp sometimes. Seems to me like there is a different issue here though. Diesels are way fun to tune! So easy compared to gas stuff.

Do you have max injected quantity warm and cold set to similar value? Are you hitting commanded mm3 on each tune?

Lb7s are cake walk to tune. Stock Allison transmissions don't like more than 2,000us pulse they also like timing.
