The final part of the annual LBBS bonfire night event. At the very same location of our first bonfire in 1852 untill 1905 Our Bishop Peter French has a round up of our year. LBBS thanks go to Cliff & Sally standing back after 35 years as owners & custodians of the White Hart Hotel, Lewes. Remembering Elfreda Brown who passed in 2023, the longest serving member of LBBS, Elfreda first walked with the society in 1935 aged 5 & was our last pre WW2 member. The wall & fencing set piece is a reference to the Town Wall that in Westgate Street is deemed unsafe and the entire car park below it is fenced off. LBBS usually hire the car park for 24hrs. We were on notified we could have none of it just a few days before. result in no bar no catering and no storage space on the night but we coped.
