I'm 18 and went to college at 16 so I'm a junior now. I was nervous to start so young because I thought I wasnt smart enough yet but I'm an honor student at my college and that is 100% because I follow these habits! LOVE this video!

Great workshop to remind students of challenges that come across through studies. Be prepared and be aware of all the negative obstacles that are waiting to challenge you as a student. Positive outcome when you have the study skills as Scott mentioned on this video.

I think these tips are right on. Although they may seem to be common sense, many students have never been explictly taught them. I use this video in the first week of school with my international students. It is eye-opening for them, and they enjoy listening to Mr. Brueckner and taking notes because he is so clear & personable.

This guy is absolutely brilliant!!! I'm in Australia, we don't have workshops like this at Uni/school unless we pay =\ Biggest load of shit too because I don't know how to study =[ Scott's given me more help in the past hour than all the teachers in the past 21 years of my life haha! Appreciate it bud!! =]

Right after Scott explains what it means to pay attention, the young man on the left: takes papers out of his backpack & shuffles through them, gets out his glasses case & puts his glasses away, takes out a folder & shuffles through papers, takes out his sunglasses & puts them on his head (really???), gets his cell phone & puts it in his pocket...all the while not looking at the teacher. Priceless! FYI, a teacher in front notices all this stuff. We are not oblivious to this kind of behavior.

im a slightly seasoned adult returning to school lol...again.first degree. i really like this video. it reinforces a necessary mindset one must employ to be successful in school. all students entering into public universities and colleges should be required take these types of workshops. it would make a difference. sometimes students don't realize how the significance of basic tools or a lack there of can determine completion or not. anyway great video i like it quite a bit. it highlighted some things i already knew i needed to address.

When I was growing up,going to school, there was always a lot of homework to do, and There was too many distractions around the house! my brothers and sisters, or parents always were doing something, and the TV never shut off! It was just about the WORST environment in which to try to study! I did well, but not as well as I could have! I wish I could go back in time and study properly- it would've been MUCH Easier to master any subject!and then have time to enjoy afterwards!

lol i see what they say about sitting in the front.when the camera was only on the professor i was locked in but when ever it zoomed out i found myself looking at the other people to see what they were doing.that was just as helpful to me as the video itself.im definitely going to sit up front when school starts.
