He's one of the most recognisable faces on British television, covering some of the biggest stories of our time. BBC News presenter and Mastermind host, Clive Myrie grew up in Bolton - the son of Windrush generation parents - with dreams of becoming a journalist. He studied law at university but ended up accepting a position on the BBC's journalism trainee scheme. He's gone on to report from more than 90 different countries including war zones in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and most recently, Ukraine. Clive's memoir, Everything is Everything reflects on how being black has affected his perspectives of issues he's encountered in his thirty years reporting the news.

A truly incredible interview. Clive has had an incredible journey and its great to hear. As a British born child of a Jamaican parent too, I completely understand the early perspective he shared. Many more need to hear his story. Another great interview from James.

Thank you James for giving Clive the platform to speak his experience. Thank you Clive. The pain of the Windrush generation lives on. Like you I missed the remedial school, as I was seen as being different when I came from Jamaica in 1968. Can only thank my mother for preserving with me and having faith in me.

Greetings Sir and Guest from North London, Hope all is Well, Brilliant interview to watch, Being a British born Jamaican... My Jamaican parents worked till Retirement, Never on the Dole added to the British Economy from 1960s never taken out, I was told to get a Trade or Study 1980s days ... Did that but Racism was the Main Meal of the day, Everyday it feels like for 40+ years, Even being a Fully certified Electronic Engineer for 26 years, Yeah Racism, Demonisation and Disrespect... Daily events for British born Afro people... But never let it stop me doing things and yes I do have English friends 44 years now before someone comments "Race Card" in play. Wonderful interview an insight to the Lives of Carribbean Jamaican people living in the UK 1960s and so on. Thank you Sir, Peace.

I was thinking that I would never hear my story reflected in the media. There are so many parallels between Clive's family and mine. Yet also striving for different by using education. Being the only one doing what you are doing career wise. Coping with marginalisation once you get there. Thank you Clive for so eloquently highlighting the real struggle of the windrush and us the first generation. Our stories have never really been told. That's why I love James's interviews. So insightful

I am amazed the likes of Clive continue to broach the subject of South Africa. I mean that might make people look up how the country is doing these days and that would not be great for his argument.

Because we all have a past. Because what we are today is what all the yesterdays made us, both as individuals and as a society. Because we can all learn from the mistakes and triumphs of the past to make the present better.
