George Galloway reveals general election plans | LBC

LBC can reveal that there are at least two current MPs in talks to join George Galloway's Workers Party. They are believed to be Labour MP Tahir Ali, and Independent MP Claudia Webbe.
This was confirmed this morning by the party leader himself, who said 'several' MPs could join his party, as well as one Lord and 'dozens of councillors.' But he told Nick Ferrari that he doesn't intend to challenge Jeremy Corbyn in Islington North, as he believes the former Labour leader has been treated 'unfairly.'
Among the revelations was that Ashes winning cricketer Monty Panesar will also join his party to contest the Southall constituency. Never a dull moment...

Galloway just doesn’t get it. Most of Britain right now would give anything for the conditions we had under Blair. Decent schools and a decent NHS, Sure Start for kids, no strikes, kids who weren’t shrinking in height, a more financially equal population and a populace not riven by Brexit. Oh, and roads you could actually drive on.

That was more of a sign of the times rather than anything to do with Labour. Before 1997, we had 20 years of the Tories which were also "better times". Post 97, 13 years of NEW Labour slowly destroyed all of that. Then the Tories continued that destruction, while Labour will now finish us off once and for all if they come to power.

Blair’s Tory lite policies consisted of increased privatisation of the nhs, costing £80 billion over 25 years for PFI, tuition fees now at £9k a year, uncontrolled immigration which depressed wages and working conditions. Even Thatcher built more social houses in 1 year than Blair did in 10 years. These policies continued after Blair left office that led to further deprivation, decline in nhs services, increased homelessness and led to the Brexit vote.
