@CuriousCrow-mp4cx5 ай бұрын
Politics is the process how any community decides who gets what. That means that exposing and dealing with the shenanigans of the power hungry is part of the process. Until one secures power, one cannot run it. So, choosing who will run the country comes before being able to run it. Separating the two is naive. In 2016 and 2019, the country fell for the Get Brexit Done shtick, which was nothing to do with running the country better. It was a load of rich people trying to get their way. And they won. And look at the result. Just getting rid of that bunch is a relief. Now, we have a government explicitly trying to serve the best interests of the country. In that, they've already begun to succeed.

That's the problem across the country. The centre/left is more split between multiple parties (Labour, Lib Dem, Green, SNP) than the right (basically Tories & Nigel's Regress party). Labour lost two million votes and the Tories took the lead in many of their seats, while only gaining about ~300k votes nationwide.
