I don't know why I will ask, is it possible to be Zionists and still believe in 2 states solution and give Palestine the right to exist as an equal state? Or is it that all Zionists want the whole land only for themselves? I am asking because from what I read there were many places where the first Zionists wanted to create a Jewish state ( including Siberia) so I assume as long as Israel exists there shouldn't be an issue for traditional Zionist to other states existing next to them?
@daverunkie98535 сағат бұрын
@@tataritkaZionism has gone through different levels of evolution but the common factor is ethno supremacy. Now we have revisionist Zionism which such as Givr and Smootrich subscribe to. Not all Jews support this ideology and it's losing its appeal in the united states among Jews but then the US has right wing fundamentalist Zionist Christians that outnumber Jewish zionists
@emirpoljarevic70245 сағат бұрын
It's not so much that they have an issue of states existing next to them, it's that they want certain parts of close to all countries that are around them right now. Its a project called "Greater Israel" and it includes parts of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon...by some accounts parts of Saudi Arabia as well. So no, zionists will never accept Palestinian state because it stands in opposition to plans for greater Israel. Based on international law West Bank belongs to Palestinian people but they will annex it next year as well as north of Gaza or maybe the whole Gaza.
@ghofraneoueslati72585 сағат бұрын
@@tataritka yes u could be a zionist and advocate for the 2 state solution which are referred to as liberal/progressive zionists , the only problem here is that the 2 state solution in how its presented denies the palestinians the right of return , as in : u have ur sovereign country now so no more talk abt refugees going back home , which is a constant demand and aspiration a of the palestinian people , inbeded in them , and many would percieve giving up that right that palestinians yearned and fought for for yers a big concession , and then there s israel ofc categorically refuses the right of return of the palestinians because that would automatically compromise its jewish identity , so people have a genuine problem with the concept of issrael as an ethno religious state and it strikes them that any random european jew is given free pass and free citizenchip ans sometimes a house while ur're adament to never let pals set foot in there , i mean some say palestinians now are the weaker side , and whatever autonomy they get its better than wats happening here

It’s an unyielding resistance against the oppressive, suffocating grip of occupation and the callous denial of the most basic human dignity ... The battle for justice in Palestine is not merely a political struggle. It's an elemental moral battle ... If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing. I implore every person of conscience, regardless of their origins or beliefs, to stand steadfast with the Palestinian people in their unwavering quest for justice." - attributed to Malcolm X

Over here in Indonesia it's common knowledge of the distinction between Judaism and Zionism regardless of our religion and ethnicity.
