MI6 and CIA bosses issue ‘threat to world order’ warning | LBC analysis

MI6 and the CIA have said the world is "under threat in a way we haven't seen since the Cold War" in a rare joint statement released by top spy chiefs.
Speaking on the subject on international relations, spy chiefs warned of Russia's "reckless campaign of sabotage across Europe".
In their first-ever joint remarks, written in the Financial Times - Sir Richard Moore and Bill Burns said an "unprecedented array of threats" faced the West - highlighting the greatest risk of shift in the world order since the Cold War.
Sir Richard labelled President Putin's threats "irresponsible", while the CIA chief labelled Putin "cocky.
"Putin's whole narrative is a very cocky and a very smug one," said Bill Burns.
It comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed he wants 'infectious' Kamala Harris to win the upcoming US election over Donald Trump.

This make me chuckle. I am from England and a caucasian so I should be extremely alarmed by this. But being a keen follower of history and international affairs I see this for what it is whereas many who will see this video will be concerned. This is purely an attempt by the neoliberal/globalist West trying to claw back its waning influence not only on the global stage but for their own domestic audiences as well. Most intelligent people out there who understand geopolitics are acutely aware of the damage that the West has inflicted upon the 'global South' through brutal colonialism and installing murderous dictators like Pinochet in order to secure natural resources and create profits for the Western Corporations. But also on their own citizenry through declining living standards, caused by the neo liberal economic system and the 'rolling back ' of many of the civil liberties. An economic system that is geared to enrich the parasitic class and impoverish the working class. Let's be clear this is not a failure of the system rather it's THE aim as explained by Hernan Buchi the Economics Minister to Pinochet in an interview in the 1980's. The powers that be in the West should be concerned because most countries in the global South are aligning with China and Russia and are indicating a willingness to potentially join BRICS and the new global economic order. The reason why the West should be anxious is that most of these countries who are forming closer ties with the BRICS nations happen to be the ones with the natural resources. Unlike Diggins most of the globe realise we are indeed in a multi polar world , that train has long since left the station despite attempts by the West to halt its progress. A new economic and financial system is being 'rolled out ' that will bypass the one controlled by the USA who uses these organisations to coerce and bully nations to its will. Now the non Western aligned countries have an alternative and are taking back control of their countries and natural resources. See Bukina Faso as a prime example, long may it continue. This is why we are increasingly seeing conflict around the globe and the common denominator being the involvement of the USA and it's allies. The Ukranian conflict causes:- 1) the insistence by the West that Ukraine would become a member of NATO. A 'red line' for Russia as stated at Bucharest summit in 2008 by Putin, 2) Meydan coup funded by USA to the tune of 6 billion dollars as stated by Victoria Nuland, 3) the undermining of attempts at a peaceful resolution through Minsk1 & 2, plus the Istanbul summit which was scuppered by Boris Johnson as quoted by Naftali Bennet (Israeli PM). 4) the ultimate aim by the West being the removal of Putin and the federalisation of Russia in order to diminish its global/regional impact. The China tensions:- 1) USA aims to nullify China's influence not only in the South Pacific but in the rest of the globe through its participation in the BRICS and the Shaghai Cooperation organisation (2001). 2) Equally concerning for the USA is the gradual de-dollarisation of global trade especially in the oil sector. Which could be devastating for the US in its revenue streams which is how it funds largely it's military global projection. 3) trade sanctions imposed on China have had little long term effects, In both cases regarding USA led efforts on Russia and China it is all about containing and isolating these nations both economically and politically on the global stage. The reality belies the Western aspirations. The world has polarised irrevocably into the Western bloc and the global South and most of Eurasia and the Far East. Either the West, who are both in economic as well as political influence on the global level are in decline, redefines themselves to prepare for the new reality of geopolitics, otherwise on its current trajectory the world will be plunged into possibly a devastating global conflict. So the MI6 and the CIA know these realities and causes of these global tensions and are 'gaslighting' their public to garner domestic support for actions it will take in the future. Readers of the national press will 'buy it ' but those who pay close attention to international affairs wont. The choice is clear to anyone. Do we want to continue in a world where less powerful (militarily and politically) nations are oppressed by exploitative ones. Which has been the case under the Western leadership. Or do we transition to a system where these previously exploited nations have a chance to rebuild their countries and use the resources they possess to improve the living standards of its citizens. I am not naive enough to believe they will be on a 'level playing field' but it has to be better than the status quo.

If you study WWII it was won by factories and production of arms (guns, tanks, planes, missiles etc.). Output of Russian T43 tanks and UK fighter and bomber aircraft made significant differences. UK shutdown most of its manufacturing sector a long time ago, whereas China has massively increased. It will take 5+ years to setup a manufacturing sector so if war starts in the next couple of years, UK doesn't stand a chance.

Did you forget the bit between the two world wars where we basically stopped producing armaments and then suddenly went into a panicked overdrive in about 1936 before we left 80% of our equipment in northern France and only survived because America agreed to supply us? That's kind of been the British approach to both world wars - have a big navy to protect shipping channels, sit on our hands pretending everything is fine, panic, Wallace and Grommet our way to success. The only difference now is that we don't have a big navy and we don't have an empire to finance one with. Aside from America, no one really has a military capable of getting involved in a major war and even America would need to step up it's production massively to keep a near-peer war going for more than a year. Nobody really wants a world war but everyone is quietly making sure they look too difficult to be worth provoking.

Essentially, what they're saying is that we're in dsnger of no longer being the top dogs, and the underdogs are getting stronger by the year, and some are as resilient as ever, inspite of and despite our best efforts; the fact that the hypocrisy of our way of life, and it's somewhat superficial nature is increasingly noticeable to the world in general, isn't and hasn't been helpful.
