With legal action and bailiffs if I did not pay up in 7 days. It was a terrible experience so when I see stuff like this it makes my blood boil! @@MD-ud2leI have to give you the benefit of doubt and trust you're not a bot or foreign entity or low rent Tory "activist" here to merely seed little doubts in the minds of voters...but in answer to your question "Would labour be any better" - YES. It's as simple an answer as that. We have historical data that very clearly shows the track records of both two major parties. During Tory rule, public spending goes down massively and waste of public money goes through the roof - as does cases of governmental corruption. The precise opposite is true of Labour governments. This is not opinion or open for debate, those are the facts. It is very easily the demonstrable truth, that the nation is "better" when being run by a Labour government, and entirely worse being run by a Tory government. Simple as that.
@Heresy198711 ай бұрын
Starmer is the establishments man. Labour under him and probably anyone else would tow the establishments line. It simply cannot be allowed and tolerated by the ruling class to have a viable existing alternative to their power. So, Labour is there to placate all that. Are Labour the lesser of the two evils, probably. But that's not anything close to what decent working class people desire in the capitalist hellhole of a landscape. Here's how i see it....Tories are that right wing and corrupt, people get eventually sick of them (given that they've ostensibly been in power for 44 years,including the new Labour project under Thatcherite adoring Blair), then vote in a Labour government under Starmer. Starmer then is obviously a dud and cant do anything, certainly not in the 44 year timeframe and then people will then switch back to the Tories. Better the devil you know in some peoples minds, which is a terrible mindset to have. We only have to look at the extreme lies told to the British people about Corbyn to know that anyone approaching even suggesting a fairer system for ordinary decent people will have their reputations (whether personal or political) absolutely obliterated. I acknowledge and respect the work that Carol is doing these days. I fear though given previous examples of people putting their heads up over the trench, that the right wing establishment won't allow such criticisms to continue unabated. Hence we'll see a slanderous onslaught against Carol by the right wing press etc.

@@fullmontyuk i agree with what you're saying. Ive no interest in being a Labour cheerleader. They dont act in the interests of the working class. There is no justifying what Baroness Mone and the Tory Party have done over the last few years. The amount they have all profited is disgusting, whilst the rest of the country freeze, starve, and get evicted. There is nothing to play devil's advocate about, the things the Tory Party have done are WRONG, IMMORAL, and on occasion, ILLEGAL. Strikes, immigration, public service wages, public spending etc etc etc, are all subjects that could do with a little devil's advocate. There's something to be said for both points of view. I've seen this happen when MPs are interviewed - the presenter will question Tories from a Labour standpoint and vice versa, and all the comments say they are biased one way or the other. I have watched the Tories gas light us the electorate for over 7 years. [no doubt it has been going on longer]They announce some positive policy or funding and then it gets kicked into the long grass, or funding is left in an account unspent then returned to the treasury. I am most concerned about the cost of private consultations, are these another way to pay their mates huge amounts of money without any positive outcomes to the UK and people? Another area of concern is the bidding system for funding, and how allocation is decided. Is this system just another way to funnel to their chosen areas cash, and keep councils in line? Once the Tories are out of government, the research into their years of spending needs to be investigated, recorded and regurgitated continuously so the public never forget the corruption and self serving of this party. Yes, they really have been having a party at the expense of the UK taxpayer.
