Just so you know, you actually can see a digital speedometer on that car. If you press the top button on the turn signal lever, you keep pressing it down it will show you a bunch of different options on the dash until you just see two numbers or (zero if you're stopped) with mph/kph, and that is your digital speedometer. 😊hope that helps for future

You’re exactly right. We want the X1, but no blind spot detection...? At that price: Not gonna happen.

Hi to Vancouver! Nice video from a different point of view. You are right with a few remarks, what annoys most is the price policy of BMW. But all in all it's a fine car and I ordered one that is to be delivered next summer. And as a 6,3 tall guy I don't have visibility problems. Thank you for your lovely comments and best wishes from the home of BMW - Germany.

Hello to you in Germany! What car did you end up ordering? The X1? Yes, I’m nowhere near 6’3...so I need the seat to go up as high as possible😂. Hope that you are staying safe and healthy over there!
@franz30914 жыл бұрын
Good morning LValiquette! Yes, I bought an X 1 with a few nice features. Actually I'm driving an Audi Q 3, also a fine car. But the new Audi is not that what I want, and a lot more expansive. By the way, the prices in Canada are much cheaper. I don't know why, but the exchange rate is not the main reason. Good luck with your I 3 and of course, stay safe. The corona situation is terrible, in Germany too.

🥰 I like your review so much. I'm planning to buy an X1 model year 2020 in Sweden. Your video provides informative inputs for me. Especially I do agree about the height of driver seat. BMW must give extra height, as not all people are 1.90m.

I just got my X1, I love it so much. I really do wish I could get the blind spot detection. I came from a Mazda 3 hatchback and even that had blind spot detection. But overall this car is really good value for the money.

I just bought one. I had to special order as all the dealer X1s don't have wireless charging , and I wanted that . Only downside is you can't upgrade the stereo due to the chip shortage . I should have it in 6 weeks , and I worked the dealer down $1600

Congrats on your new x1! I had the chance to drive the x3 for a few days and I have to say, the wireless charging is an awesome option.

@@LValiquette Update . The idiots at Runsak BMW never ordered my car. But BMW Beverly Hills had one in stock and knocked $6 grand off the price if I bought today. It was a no brainer. So I got an X1 with Premium Pkg for $35 grand brand new . Everything happens for a reason

Thanks for the review, you did a great job. I think the x1 is great. Having owned bmw products for 20 years I do believe the Mini Countryman S is a little better. They are built on the same platform with the same engine. The countryman is more of a sporty drive and boxier.

Excellent review and video-I was really undecided between the x1 and x3. After seeing many reviews on both and especially your video, Im going for the x3, possibly slightly used with low mileage to pay about the same as a new x1. Its so bad on BMW not to include or have the blind spot monitoring, that's pretty basic on a majority of cars, my NIssan Rogue has it and so much more. I also like the feel of sitting higher and the SUV feel so the x1 is definately out. Thank you for your review/video. Greetings from Winnipeg
@LValiquette3 жыл бұрын
Yes, good call on the x3! I actually had to take my car in for a tire change and they gave me an x3 as a loaner car - it was amazing. It really was an upgraded version of the x1, which so much more room. Hope you are staying well!
@michaelgoh58303 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review and for highlighting the things the you do not like about the X1. Yes, not being able to option blind spot monitor is a deal breaker for me. Most vehicles have this either as a standard feature or an option. Otherwise, it is still a great SUV, though the dash and centre console do look dated.
@LValiquette3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree about the dash and centre console being outdated. But, all in all a great small SUV!

I own an X1, Bmw doesn’t offer blind spot montering in X1 or X2 because of the design of both vehicles, sounds suspect to me

Yes! So strange why they don't offer it as an option!

Thanks for this review girl! You have become my go-to guru for all things luxury, so this review means a lot to me. I have wanted a BMW for years...years...but after doing my research, I found the repair and costs where too much for me. I decided to go with a Subaru instead and LOVE it. Do you find you have a lot of repairs with your BMW?
@LValiquette4 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you for your support with my channel - I appreciate it so much! This is my first repair with my BMW. The heated seat was not working, so they had to replace it. I've heard that the repairs on cars past their warranty or older cars can be costly. New BMW's have a 4 year warranty (which i think might be standard in the car industry?) so mine was still under it. I've heard Subaru's are great! What did model did you end up purchasing?

Can you compare the bmw x1 to your brothers Mazda cx5. I am trying to decide between the two. They are both the same price but would like to know which one is more reliable and has the best features
@dannyyin96635 ай бұрын
The X1 is definitely a bit smaller but the engine and transmission are much nicer. The fuel efficiency is better on the X1. The reliability is probably roughly comparable.

Omg, why has your car been in the shop so long? It’s only a couple years old so that seems odd. I parted ways with my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I loved it but after 9 or 10 recalls it gets aggravating. Really the aggravating part is that Jeep dealerships in south Texas are awful! They have the worst service of any business I’ve ever experienced. I lived in another state when I bought it and service was good. All that to say that I went the Lexus route and the service is great. I’ll stay with Lexus or another luxury brand for the service.
@LValiquette4 жыл бұрын
My heated seat on the drivers side was having some issues. I think because is electric, it took longer to get the parts shipped in? OMG, the Jeep has had so many recalls! That's terrible that the service at the dealerships are so awful - that's a major deal breaker for me! Lexus' are amazing. It's funny because two of my friends have SUV's by them and in one friend's the seat was so hard (albeit, i don't have much butt for cushion) and the other the seat was so comfy haha! I've heard they are super reliable. Maybe I'll have to go the Lexus route.
