LC White
August 2, 1959 ~ June 22, 2020 (age 60)
L.C. White was born on August 2, 1959 in Benton Mississippi to Willard and Mary White. He was 1 of 9 children raised along side 4 brothers and 4 sisters. As a young child he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he attended grade school and attended Central High School. At 16 years old he & his brother James moved to Clearfield, Utah where he attended Job Corp. He became a Corpsman and took up cooking as a trade where he received a certificate after completion. After which he made his way back to Kansas City, Missouri. He worked several jobs during his life. Including H&S Maintenance. He also worked at the family business, Modern Shoe Repair. However he was most proud when he started his own business, L.C. Lawn Service. Being an entrepreneur gave him the satisfaction of being his own boss & doing things his own way. His clientele increased over the years and they all grew to love him.
L.C. was the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Diamond White & Raevan White. He was the doting grandfather to two lovely granddaughters, Malayah Stevens & Malaysia Stevens. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Eating good ole’ Soulfood & watching football especially when the Steelers were playing. He loved nothing more than spending time with his daughters, his two favorite girls. Although he was young at heart he really loved and embraced being a grandpa. He liked bowling and shooting pool. He loved being outdoors, enjoyed cooking, hanging with his brothers & loved to go fishing.
L.C. who was also called Bird & Red had a personality that was bigger than life and he always managed to stay true to himself. Outside of being loving, kind & a blast to be around his sense of humor is also one of those attributes that all who have ever met him will miss dearly.
God makes no mistakes and his will and timing is perfect. He called L.C. White home on June 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Willard White his father and Mary White his mother. His brother, Willie White and his sister Lucille Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Diamond White (Nick) - Houston, TX, Raevan White - Kansas City, KS; six brothers & sisters: Easter Ashley (Floyd) - Kansas City, MO, Delliloh Scott (Fred) - Shrevport, LA, Carrie Moore (Jessie) - Kansas City, KS, Willard White Jr. - Kansas City, MO, James White (JoAnn) - Kansas City, MO, Calvin White (Carolyn) - Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Malayah & Malaysia Stevens; the mother’s of his two daughters Candy Sears & Shirley Wainwright; two special aunts, Dorthy Porter & Willie Bell McColler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special lifetime friends.
