Land Cruiser 70 series is one of the greatest creations in the world of vehicles. Reliability, durability, simplicity, easy to maintain and timeless design, which are not found in today's vehicles, are more important than electronic devices and features. Its V8 engine and manual gearbox make this vehicle even more lovable. And the exhaust makes some of the best music I've ever heard. People who know the value of LC 70 series know that they can go anywhere without any problem.

@@NAStheNomad to be honest I’m not fussed what engine/gearbox it has as long as they keep the same overall design. Obviously I like the V8 but it is pretty inefficient and lacks a couple of extra gears. Imagine they delivered it with the same engine gearbox package as the Merc G400 - straight 6 with 9 gears / 250kw and 700nm.

A Uni is slow, noisy and extremely uncomfortable not to mention thirsty (25lt/100@ 80klms/hr) also too big to fit down many tracks and takes at least 2 to change the tyre...capable yes, but not particularly practical

Durability and long lasting is what it costs more you dont have to spend thousands in repairs so you spend that on buying it
@dustyfarmer
@dustyfarmer Жыл бұрын
Way over-priced? Try buying a $1200 Unimog tyre & $120 for an inner tube & compare that price to a $300 tubeless Landcruiser tyre or $20 tube. I'd get my Landcruiser far more places than a Unimog, especially in the bush in the wet, down a forest track or on the highway at highway speeds. That's why you never see Unimogs on the road even though plenty of ex-military ones are sold at Frontline sales. Unimog's are strictly for those with more dollars than sense.

Still think these 70 series LC's are a total waste of money. They are so basic and I know this is why people love them, which I just can't figure out why. I could understand there reasoning if they were priced as they should be, around 50 to 55k, but at 85k plus and then you need to spend at least another 50k on them to fix all the design faults, to me they are a joke, but everyone to there own.

Over price out dated dinosaur . And the motor would be good for a boat anchor. Less newton meters than a hilux lol. The steering is like driving a boat all over the shop. And you need ear muffs when in it. Off road, it flexs like a victa mower, and the rear track is awful . The rear spring hangers that belong on a horse and cart hang too low. Overall, why bother there is better, more comfortable utes out there.
