I tried using this product and just really had fits with it. It was twitchy and unstable. It was super difficult to get it narrowed into a particular part of any band. I was trying to tune antennas for FT8 frequencies and it would fly around. It would go from, say, 14.030 and if I turned the knob just slightly, it would fly up to 14.120. It was ridiculously difficult to get it near what I wanted. Also, it would power off (even when connected to a power supply), and when powered back up, I'd get a different SWR reading than I had before it shut off.

do you set your swr in the middle of the band or beginning of the band or end of the band ?

Hey Neal, it will depend on what you plan to use the antenna for. If I'm using voice communications/SSB then the middle of the band or the middle of the portion of the band I have access to. It would be different for a General or Extra license holder. If I plan on using digital modes or CW primarily, I would adjust the lowest SWR in that area of the band. In some cases, you might be pretty flat across the entire band in which case it wouldn't matter. Depends on the antenna and your mode of communication. Thanks for watching! KY4BDP

@@LCARAHAMRadio I know it might have sounded stupid I learned from cb radio you take swr on channel 1 then channel 40 I thought the analyzer was using middle of the band to get it.
