@@LCARAHAMRadio I have a brand new FTM-400XDR/DE which i just purchased ... I can only receive NOAA weather radio ... Comes in perfectly but it seems like I am getting a lot of other signals on 70 cm and 2 meters ... But I don't hear anything ...my scope function is working but no sound ... I was told to find an Elmer but a couple of local clubs as closed because of covid19 ... I have read my manual bet to no avail ... HELP PLEASE ... KE8PWK 🙉😳😢

I missed where you set the offset to .6 -- even watched it again.

@sgarcata - Thanks for watching! The FTM400 automatically sets the offset once you select your frequency. Some radios do, some don't.

I would like to thank you for this video, I’m a new Ham and I don’t have the 400xdr yet but it’s the radio of my choice after debating between the Yaesu and the Icom 5100A, I’m just waiting for any holidays specials on the 400xdr it seems like an extremely good radio and easy to program, I was wondering if you have any videos on using WireX and programming it with the RT system software. I have really enjoyed your videos, learned a lot.. can you tell me if this radio would be a good choice for satellite contact and receive. Is it full duplex ? I know there are some popular Kenwood radios but I'd like to get a mobile/base with color screen for satellite use if available thank you for your Elmer spirit
