Most likely running a aftermarket ecu and tuning and if you ran e85 I'd do 20psi no problem but just for how long lol

Pump gas can run 14psi all day with stock cast pistons on a stand alone ecu. Building a engine like this. You should be building it with at least forge pistons. They're for if all equipment is met... running above 15ish psi can be achieved with e85.. and therefore less prone to engine knock and can boost 20lbs plus. These engines are stout if built right. The long stroke and low reving (5500-6k rpm imo) can keep these happy for a long time even on turbo. But alot of money to get it done correctly to achieve 250hp+

@@damnitdang yeah I’m just curious how much money you’re really spending to get it to say 200 hp because if it’s over the 2500 mark at that point I just save my money and do a 1.9 L TDI diesel swap

Is your base level all new street long block built out enough for the low boost pro turbo kit? If so, what psi is considered safe/reliable? 5, 12, or the max 14 psi listed on the low boost kit?

14psi is safe on a stand alone ecu. If you're on a 22rte oem setup. You're very limited. Maybe 8psibut then again if you bought a lc engine and is still running oem 22rte stuff... you'll jist be wasting money imo. Depend son the internals that they offer in the particular engine build. Imo I'd go with forge pistons forsure...stock cast can handle 14psi all day. But needs good ecu and tune

Please tell us which ECU do you use? It is not difficult to build a turbo engine, but it needs to be configured somehow, fuel cards, air, ignition, etc. how to do it?
