Just learnt there's an alternative cliffhanger pickup to Part 2 (as viewers could vote the resolution of who saves them); as well as an extended version of Part 2 (originally cut for Noel's House Party)... Please let me know if this footage is available anywhere!🙏 (Heard extended Part 2 is here on YT?) Myself or someone else could perhaps edit a superior version with these parts included✨

It's such a shame they couldn't of filmed a proper anniversary special for the fans.It would of been so special seeing those actors in a real story, for most it would of been their last goodbye's to the show.We did nearly get the Dark Dimension, but alas it wasn't to be. The only positive thing I can say it did help Children In Need, but The Five Doctors also did that. Thanks for posting.

The Albert Square setting could easily have been tweaked into a 'canon' episode had it been established that they were trapped in an artificial world created by the Rani from the mind of one of the companions, who is a big soap opera fan. Ace could have said something like "We're trapped in an episode of EastEnders, Doctor". It would have been great, in a Westworld sort of way.

I don't care what anyone says, this was an awesome special. I just wish it wasn't edited by the BBC. I'm still trying to figure out how Leela morphed into Romana.
@lightningseedsfanchannel Жыл бұрын
Frustrating isn’t it. Bad cuts, missed lines, plus infuriating edits. The premise isn’t bad: the doctor and his companions keep glitching thanks to the Rani’s meddling, when they get too close to the truth she unleashes the hoard. But then…..the hoard just disappear? The resolution works too, that romana is a time lady which corrupts her collection, but then….I don’t know. It just feels like a huge missed opportunity to not use all these amazing actors in the same scene at the end where the doctor could beat the Rani at her own game. I love it. But I love it’s potential even more.
@pferreira1983 Жыл бұрын

One of the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENTS of my childhood because i had been avidly following the news about the 30th anniversary special-to-be that would have been Lost In The Dark Dimension & it was really exciting because the news was officially that one of my favourite Classic series Directors Graeme Harper would be at the helm & that all the surviving actors who had played The Doctor would be involved & the rumour was was that David Bowie would be playing the villain with Rik Mayall linked later. Then, suddenly, it was announced it had been cancelled. But the BBC Said they were gonna celebrate the 30th anniversary in a fun & unexpected way & we started seeing photos from Dimensions In Time & there were interviews etc & to all intents & purposes this was set to be a 30th anniversary multi Doctor who adventure & i excitedly bought the Radio Times & the 3D Glasses & sat down to watch. And i got DIMENSIONS IN TIME 🤬 & it was just apalling. A total let down, corny, cheesy, waste of time with Eastenders blended into the mix. I absolutely HATE it. Worst still id asked my none Dr Who fan school friends to watch & i knew they would hate it & it was a total embarrassment. Luckily for the 10year old me i was able to celebrate the 30th with the repeat of Planet of the Daleks & as a hardcore 3rd Doctor fan i loved that & a few weeks later was served another 3rd Dr Jewel with the radio broadcast of Barry Letts's audio adventure Paradise of Death. Things went very cold & quiet for just over 2 years until it was announced in January 1996 that Paul McGann would be playing The Doctor in a new American produced TV Movie & the excitement built up again, but that is another story.......
