Also i worked on the tech side of uber, its because of the laws in the UK you can have a delivery driver "substitute" themselves due to them not being legal employees or needing as many security checks like private hire drivers. If you report a driver doing PH then theyll be suspended and investigated straight away

i always liked lcs more then lec, but this year its at least 10 times more fun XD even the slowest playing team in tl before this last week realized how bad that is and instantly tried to be more proactive. but also mechanicly it does look so much better. i swear if you blend out the names and just watched this game it would be sometimes hard to tell if its lcs or lpl/lck in terms of raw skill. macro is a bit over the place from mid game but that can be worked on

LEC is the only major region where MULTIPLE players who would actually be top 6 at their role are not playing. Something as absurd as this never happens in LCK or LPL. It's pure self-sabotage.

LEC teams willingly passed on good players. 3 players from Summer split all-pro (Trymbi Limit Abbedagge) aren't in LEC this split. Even Chasy deserves a spot since he was top 5 in LEC for the entire year but he is contract jailed on MAD until 2025.

The biggest mistakes Riot made with LCS, swapping back from Bo3s, and not giving teams a way to make more money from the game, by selling team skins. A lot of the viewership could have been maintained if players had skins tied to their favorite teams consistently reminding them to go back and watch.

Re: LEC vs LCS i do think the level of play on average seems to be lower across the board then it has been for years. The amount of int plays this season just on raw mechanics seems higher then i can ever remember and Ive watched since 2012.

EU simply doesnt have the same playerbase and viewership as China and Korea, so why are we expecting them to be as good as those two bigger regions? First off, I'm neither north american nor european, so this is completely unbiased. Like, I understand the argument at 1:51:30, but I'm sorry, MDK are not as good of a team as you paint them. They got demolished by Fnatic in their first round, and were only in the series in game 2 because Oscar had the worst Yone game I have ever seen in my life and Fnatic was basically playing 4v6 with only Rell for engage vs an omega poke comp. And they didn't beat Vitality comfortably, because Hyli beat Vitality. In both games, Vetheo and Photon have leads that should allow them to carry both games, but Hyli just chose to run it down in both games at the stupidest moments possible for no reason at all so they are never allowed to pressure anywhere with their lead and end just losing the game because their support looks like he's wintrading. Elyoya is great, and their team is really good at using their bot push to invade bot side jungle early (very BLG style), but after they do that, their team just looks like constantly adapting and like they have no game plan.

No not anyone losing is “having a bad day” - NRG were factually worse than G2 and G2 massively underperformed to lose to them. NA making it out of groups once in a very long time with none of their teams ever being competitive against Asian teams is why NA sucks. NRG made Worlds Qtrs without beating a single Eastern team… the only game that was against teams they got speedran over by the 4th seed in a game where they didn’t even look like they had done research. It’s obvious that lec focuses too much on using young talent because they are cheaper and think they have a higher ceiling. Of course it makes sense why. They are domestically sufficient but it makes eu internationally mediocre in the moment. The best teams to come from eu are fnc (3 top players and 2 imports) and g2 (5 best eu players ever) essentially 2 super teams. Everyone knows super teams don’t just work (vit disaster, 2020 g2, etc.) but at least there’s a potential higher level there. Even the absolute best young lec player Yike got completely outperformed at worlds by pretty much every jungler even veteran NA and eu junglers like contractz and razork. And the worst part is that it’s not like the asian teams aren’t also getting exponentially better in that time line too.

Firstly why are you going to keep employing the same players that failed over and over again knowing that they are going to fail. Secondly every super team has failed in Europe outside of G2…. EU has always thrived off young players coming through and developing (Where do you think Caps, Perkz, Wunder, Mikyx, Bwipo, Hyli, etc came from). Thirdly Yike was not outperformed at world by every Jungler 🤣 like you either didn’t watch worlds or have a hate boner for Yike (Like a lot of people who believe he doesn’t deserve to be there), His botlane was either inting or getting blasted (Like the NRG series), His toplane was getting blasted (NRG series rest BB was okay) and it made the game unplayable for any Jungler… Jankos would have gotten screwed in that position, same way Elyoya was getting blasted with losing lanes. Razork btw was the best performing Jungler in EU last year… like blaming Yike for not performing like Razork is laughable when if you looked at the year, Yike was arguably the 2nd best Jungler in LEC. Why do people keep insisting that just running back the same squads if 30 year old veterans year after year is going to make the region better… the region got better because of young talent. LCK/LPL gets better because of young talent coming through.

Disagree on the markz take. Yes he's pointing to "numBer gO Up" but the context is literally In his roadmap that he laid out from the very beginning stating this will help viewership. Moving LCS to weekends, adding new content like the player aftershow. Shortening breaks between games by doing ready checks while analysts break down the draft that already happened, live patch, allowing co streamers. He absolutely deserves at least *part* of the credit and this has been the most fun LCS has been in years, i garuntee viewership is down bigly if none, or 1-2 of these changes are made. The league needed a BIG change. Additionally hes been very open, on shows like hotline league, About how some of these ideas were already being bounced around and were gonna happen anyway, some hes accellerated, and some he came up with along with his team, The dude isnt completely glory hogging here.

The issue is, as always, quality. LEC in a nutshell is cringe, ads, some more cringe, some more ads, even more cringe, even more ads, oh, a game is about to start! Aaaaaand it's gone - "game paused, have a break, have a Kitkat"... An entire stream last long hours just to watch 4-5 games taking 25-35min. each, no one mentally sane will waste their time like that. You just cannot fight the impression that there are more hosts than the actual players playing the damn game, NA isn't any better, it's all style over substance. While when you look at LCK and LPL, it's all games basically, and what games they are no less, it's a non-stop ongoing action, for those short few hours you're truly entertained, never lose interest and engagement. that's IMO where the direction the streams should go if they want to not only maintain the current viewers but actually grow further.

I have been watching all the games, and I have to disagree with you. The only good-looking team in LCS is Flyquest. The bottom half of LEC is garbage, but G2-BDS-MAD-FNC (Right now) look like they would stomp most of the teams in LCS. The problem is that the EU as a region is so coinflip; we can win against T1-BLG-WBG one day, then lose against wildcard regions and fucking NRG the next.

Right now it feels like G2 is like the Asian Teams at worlds: Sure you can get some early game leads, but somehow they´ll still win because they just need to wait for you to mess up Apparently i wasnt clear enough: I meant WITHIN THE FUCKING LEC they look like the asian teams did, that does not mean that I believe that they´d beat any of the Top 3 teams of LPL or LCK, and neither do Thorin and Monte. God, noone can even try and be a bit optimistic about a team that at least sometimes delivers good league of Legends outside of Asia

and this same G2 got completely shit stomped by Asian teams and NRG at worlds and MSI, when they looked much stronger last year. Yet thorin and Monte spent 30 mins talking about them nonstop praising them and saying they’ll be able to do work at international tournaments this year while also mentioning that the level of LEC is pathetic. Just saying that the league is thrash is such a cope out to not admit that most of your takes were straight up garbage. LEC has always been a 2 team region (at best) if what you go by is comparison vs Asian teams, in fact for the last 2 years not even one team has been able to actually compete against Asian teams so it’s really meaningless using that as a point of reference. If you have a team that already dominated LEC last year and makes 0 changes how the hell did you expect this winter split to go? Truth is any team with Caps if he is at 70% of his level is going to win LEC bc he’s way better than any EU mid. Also if anyone who’s actually watched both LEC and LCS think that the leagues are comparable they’re delusional, every single top 4 team in EU would comfortably win LCS.
