Wow, finally someone plays Eddie Cochran! Eddie Cochran is even better than good old Elvis P.

I am a solo act singer guitarist using backing tracks in hotels and clubs and used two curv 500 es and they couldn't cope I had to take one system back twice once for clipping all the time and then because the bass driver blew. I have now gone for a pair of QSC K12 and I couldn't get them to clip. I know they are a completely different concept but I was really dissatisfied with the LD curv 500, and really wanted to like it. I am only telling the truth I have nothing to gain apart from helping other musician's. PS I know of another musician who had the same problem

Hello, I currently use a LD Maui 28 G2 (cover band : acoustic guitar + vocal) and I'm very happy with it. I was wondering if a Curv 500 PS (not Es) coul be a better solution, but now that I have read you comment about the Curv 50ES, I haev some doubts about it.

Helpful feedback. There is a reason these aren't more popular. For a speaker with such great design and ingenuity, their use should be much broader. Here in the States they are rare. The only reason I know of the brand is due to the Maui5 Go hitting the scene and making some waves. Great reviews on that piece but to be honest, my main concern is build quality, reliability and durability. QSC may not sound the best, but they sound really good and last forever.

@@TheSkull1101 I think, when an owner of a LD MAUI 28 is happy with this system, can get the level and sound, he wants, there is no reason to change. The only things, I would add, would be one more MAUI 28 (if you doesn't use a twin set) and possibly for smaller venues and as Delay Line a twin set of 2 MAUI 5.

@@Fizyxx LD Systems made something for the people, who doesn't need a fool proof system as the Bose L1 compact is, who can live with adding a TC Helicon Voicetone for the microphone and some digital effect for the guitar.

@@Wuppie62 i'm asking about its main subwoofer voice coil. i know it's 10 inches. but i want to know the size of the voice coil. if its about 2 to 3 inches.
@Wuppie625 жыл бұрын
@@carlotheatheist Ah, okay, sorry. I can't find that detail anywhere on the LD Systems website, so it's probably a common voice coil. If you really need to know, I suggest you contact LD Systems, or one of their dealers.. Good luck!

good idea lacks real power

It really depends on where and for what you'll use it. Sure, it's not the right thing for a mid-sized or big venue, but for a solo entertainer and small audiences, it'll definitely work.

Well, when you want more power, there are many options, including the Bose F1 system.
