The reason why v was in the game was to help vergil to make peace with his humanity and trauma about feeling poweless.They probally didn't make him just a guy abossed with having more power using demons is because we already had this:arkham,agnus,hos holyness and argus.And dante always kill this guys with zero problem.And since the series always stated that they were despicable it would be weird to let dante not kill vergil.

You made some good points 🤔 But to be honest. Vergil has done worse in this game as Urizen and they still let him go 😂 Honestly, Dante and Nero are in a much worse spot for letting this criminal walk away after all the bloodshed of innocent humans. Even if he did not do it directly, he's still the reason (Urizen, intended 😁) the reason demons entered human world this time and did this. I know, it's just the usual DMC universe that doesn't make any sense but no matter how they try to spin it, Vergil was responsable for hundreds of thousands of humans killed. I wish Vergil would go back to his DMC3 nature where he did not care about anything but gaining more power. It's stupid, and has no meaning but i miss it. I don't like this "waaa! mommy left me behind and saved Dante" Ninja Theory came up with. It doesn't sound like Vergil at all 😅 I feel like Vergil should always be treated as a villian. Helping only when he gains something from it. And whether they would try to kill him or not he always should find a way to come back and try to get revenge!
