Thanks a lot. 🙌🏽 But we're in no way pushing the boundaries here but it feels good to break the 300kw mark. We've had a 1.8T make over 400kw before. But that car needed it because it's a AWD Mk4 so it's really heavy. The 20v platform is great. They can take a beating.

Rwd or AWD would be amazing but I've gotta work with what I've got. But it's fun on the street at this power level. Not great for drags but Its not the main purpose for the car right now.

The Rays 5/4s was the reason I'm running it. Haha. I got the 4 spoke and stumbled upon the 5's later on. These are both Lenso wheels so it's basically a cheap replica setup. 😅

Congrats on pushing well over 300KW! To think the MK2 GTi 16V had about 102KW. What is your best 1/4 time? Do you think more power is going to help? Won't you just be spinning more? Would you be sacrificing "reliability" by adding more boost for not much gains? I think grip is vital...as I previously had a 500bhp v8 rwd and then a Golf R with 310bhp...needless to say the golf times were better....I sincerely wish you good luck on your journey...I really hope it all falls into place for you.

This was a 8v before so it made around 70ish kw I think. lol. Almost 4 times the power now. My best 1/4 mile is 12.93. More power will help because I've got boost by gear that can pull power out of 1st and 2nd gear. However, I didn't do this to go faster. I did it because it's a street car and it's just more fun with more power. Adding more boost won't make it unreliable and it will make quite a bit more power adding boost. I won't run it at that power level all the time. I enjoy it at 290kw on pump and wmi. The eth is just because I can. lol. This car is a learning experience, so I'm going to push it as far as I can within my means.

@Lorenzo Lakay cool thanks for the reply. The 8V was around 82KW. I thought you were chasing that 1/4 times. I think with 4wd setup you'll easily be in the 11s...maybe even low 11s. Great to watch you having fun. I'm glad you got reliability. If only my drag (Santa's Pod) strip wasn't 2 hours drive away. Wishing you the best bro. Having fun is what it's about.

@@mazdamadbrad My 8v was not healthy so it was probably around 70ish kW. Lol. I'm not chasing times. I enjoy trying to improve the times at the track when I'm racing but I don't do any prepped racing with slicks to really chase times. I'll get there eventually. Santa Pod is an epic track. It's worth the 2 hour trek. Our track is really poor. But it's close so I can't really complain. But it would be great if it has proper prep.

Hi Loronzo my VW sometimes the cars starts normal sometime it does'nt, it just click...have to try a couple of time b4 it starts... any tips/guide to fix this permanently? - The starter/relay/battery/solenoid & ignition switch are new(ish).... yet still struggle to start sometimes. The head is stock, I've just got cams in it. Keeping the rpm at 7500 because I've got stock valve springs.
