so, you know. BEFORE season 12 when kraken, shieldbow, navori and stormrazor got released. Xayah always built ER first and this was because it gave you mana and damage after using abilities. The item was alright, since there were no other items available for Xayah to go as a first item. Since kraken got released she stopped building ER and always built kraken, since it gave you consistent dps and it was really good on her because she struggled with aas. Like Xayah as a champion relies more on her abilities and mostly E. So for you to go kraken was really good because her aas instead of STABBING DAGGERS, it would be tickling feathers. Thus kraken gave her that STABBING DAGGER kind of ability. So now, in s14 split 2 riot decided to change kraken, now it gives AD attack speed and ms. so they got rid of the crit chance on the item which kinda sucks... because her E scales off of crit. But kraken isn't bad its just.... not as good as before... so now: When and why do we build ER? The whole point of essence reaver is that your abilities cds are reduced. She also has mana problems a bit but since the sharing blue buff thing after 20 min is a thing now its kinda useless as a passive to have on that item. I always knew that that item was a bit mehhh because it just doesn't help you deal damage. I have been spamming ER for the last games to see if it is good and in the end i want to say that itself actually a neat item. The haste it gives and the crit chance it gives helps you with dealing damage on your E. ER gives you extra more damage on your E which is always nice to have and on top of that you will have your R up every team fight. Combine that item with navori and you will soon be playing URF Xayah. Kraken? Of course a lot of people stills build kraken and that is because the item’s passive is so good, because we are not building that for whatever stats it’s giving. Attack speed was always nice on xayah but if you compare those stats to the stats of ER you can’t argue with me that kraken’s are better. ER has 20 more AD, has ability haste and 25% crit chance. All these stats is what Xayah needs, navori gives Xayah the attack speed she needs too. So with ER and navori together you already have crazy damage on your E.

I feel like ER is a wasted item on Xayah, i never have any mana problems and it delays my spike so far behind, i always rush IE into navori into LDR and just 1v9 every game. Its also a factor that i only play xayah into good matchups, like when enemy team has 3 tanks/engage champs, which boosts my WR on her by about 20%, but still IE Navori LDR feels so much better than ER imo

@@artlover4444 ER is not about “the mana problems” its more than that, that people ignore or don’t even see. The item has so much AD as a first item, crit chance and has ability haste that almost no one thinks of. Xayah has insane huge cooldowns so going ER makes it easier and reduces your R and other abilities’ cooldown by a lot. Which means you no longer have to depend on navori either. My 3 core build is ER IE into any zeal item or LDR. With ER you no longer need to go navori unless its against tanky champs. And if you don’t go navori u can go better items like RFC for more range or PD to dodge skillshots. Also Xayah was made for ER to begin with before kraken galeforce and shieldbow were a thing. Also one more thing, with ER since it gives you mana, you no longer take pom in the runes and go straight to absorb life or triumph. Absorb life just gives you so much sustain together with ER for mana.

@@artlover4444 last thing, you can literally build anything if you play Xayah into good teams. But u shouldn’t “flex” that your wr goes up when you don’t otp xayah… if you otped Xayah you would see more than just playing her against counterpicks. RFC is NEEDED against high range comps. Also, i still stand behind the ER IE build (i can also flex that Guma built this the other day too and I go this build for 1.5 months). Again, there is more thought behind why someone goes ER and not just for the “passive”.

You used the 2nd ability after having used Smite, thus achieving an excellent play and a good kill. Nerves of steel 🦾
