"We must not allow our yearnings to exceed our earnings." Great counsel to live by. It seems so obvious, yet it's so overlooked and even discouraged in our day and age.

I served in a ward where the Hymn was a favorite and they would sing it at least twice each Sunday, once in the sacrament meeting and again in one of the classes, usually the relief society. I visited the ward some 17years after my mission and lo and behold, their opening hymn was Master the tempest is raging. It is a beautiful Hymn, with tempests ever present in our mortal lives, we oughta be calling on the Master continually❤❤

A list of destructive demons is lengthy; and each man, young or old, knows the ones with which he must contend. I’ll name but a few: the Demon of Greed; the Demon of Dishonesty; the Demon of Debt; the Demon of Doubt; the Demon of Drugs; and those twin Demons of Immodesty and Immorality. Each of these demons can wreak havoc with our lives. A combination of them can spell utter destruction.
