Hey Lizzie, "Topielec" is actually a polish word. It roughly translates to "drowner" as in a person that drowns others. I'm pretty sure that whoever designed the mob took inpiration from slavic folklore. In slavic folklore there are these water spirits called "Utopiec, Vodnik , Topnik and sometimes Topielec" which are human souls that died drowning. They suck people into swamps and lakes.
