Yeah my local dealer is doing 20+ buybacks per month....must be alot nationwide. The importer of LDV imports a stack of brands...worthwhile researching

2 years ago I bought the missus a brand new g10, thought to myself ah this will be good! A little 2ltr turbo veedub engine lugging this big Chinese van around what could go wrong!? Anyway, it was what she wanted. racked up nearly 50,000ks so far and haven’t had a single issue. I am genuinely very impressed with it so far

They refund you in full after few yrs and driven 100k plus on it?? Damnn thats pretty good deal as you wont get that from other manufacturers especially jeep 😂

Yeah mate full refund, didn’t have to ask they just offered it up front. Never ever heard a manufacturer to do anything like that.

My mate bought a trail-rider new about 5 months ago, touch-wood he hasnt had any major problems. The Hazard lights didnt work from new, And the bolts for the left hand mirror had come loose after about 3 weeks of owning it. Had to pull the internal cover off and tighten them up... Dont know how there stuff passes quality checks.

You get what you pay for! My Hiace, 8yo , 252k no rust , no defects, leaks, rattles , squeaks.

I just bought a used ldv 2020 trailrider 2 t60 only 65000ks on it and love every bit of it so far amd its diesel

I’m looking for Utes for work. Would you recommend one model 2021?? Would this be worth it?? I don’t have the cash for a hilux and this Ute is within my budget

Honestly mate, we have 4 of them - if I needed a work Ute and didn’t want to spend 80-90k I would look at the LDV T60 or GWM Cannon. Both have excellent bang for buck.

My G10 rusted, i will never buy a LDV again. brought a Toyota ute (2,8) but its really heavy on fuel and the 6sp auto kicks out of overdrive at the slightest incline, even on a flat road it kicks back on cruise, Toyota won't recognize its a issue, a guy on the Toyota forum has tackled them about said issue.

Sorry to hear about your G10, I have heard lots of similar stories with them. Yeah the big brands want nothing to do with warranty, Mazda was just ordered to refund a bunch of customers also after they were fighting not to.

This is the challenge, its either an LDV, Cannon or Musso for under 40 or Navara, Ranger, Hilux upto 80k. Find out what works for you and whats important for you- if resale is important or low entry costs.

I would go Musso. SsangYong has been plugging away in the market here for over 20 years and their current utes look pretty good. Don't think it's going to be rusty in three years.

I own an older LDV t60. Nothing wrong with it for 30k. Has a detroit locker stock from factory. Put decent tyres on it and went up around Dargo with it. Can't really fault it for 30k.

All depends what you need the car for I guess. I’m a mechanic and have 4 LDVs, an c63 AMG a Y62 patrol and an Outlander. They all serve a purpose.

@@justmikejames Just want to see you do an offroad test. 😁 Check out @perthadventurefamilies & @jarvoaus7804 too. They've modded the facelifted T60 in both directions. And @OutbackArmour have a big built T60 Pro as their show car. I can't speak for the other channels, but your channel videos certainly helped in my decision making. Good stuff. 🤩

Toyota DPF Nissan YD25 Ford trans Mitsubishi infotainment They all have issues. Pick the one with the best cost / warranty.

Some things never change :( no matter what "brand" they are using this year, the Chinese stuff is absolute landfill. 30K seems like a good deal... BUT you could spend 5K on a 30 year old Hilux and it would be a better vehicle ;) I have had far too many customers bring Great Walls and Cherrys etc etc with less than 30,000kms on them and they were already beyond repair :( They are about the only thing on the road that breaks down faster than a Mercedes :D

Ssangyong sold to India, and then India sold to China. Ssangyong musso quality is so much better, with different qualities. Reviews are good. 2024 best reward for ute under $50000.

ssangyong has a really high satisfaction rating...i mean its up there with the best cars...i have had 2 last 20 years n thinking of getting my third. after being stung my bmw merc and volvo for service costs

I've been a mechanic for 20 years n worked on pretty much everything n would never recommend anyone buy 1 rust is a massive problem on all LDV vehicles , shit Chinese running gear that has heaps of problems & down the road resale value is practically zero but hey buy 1 n hope for the best if you want or just buy a 2nd hand hilux or triton or just a new triton , cheap any far more reliable

If anyone is considering these cheap tacky rubbish heaps spend the little bit extra and go a Japanese triton. I drove a dealership 3 year old spare parts van whilst my car was in for a service (not and ldv I’ll mention) and it is a horrible brand once they are a few years old. The dealer is a multi brand dealer. I spoke with the service department manager and he said they are good for a cheap 3 year ownership car only whilst it’s under warranty. Not to mention the resale value. One thing he mentioned that is a eye opener is that once they are no more than 3 odd years old you will never see one on any reputable brand used car lot because dealerships have to offer a warranty with used cars with less than 10 years old and these Chinese cars will send a dealership broke so they will mainly be sold to the dodgy used car dealers. He said every single part on these cars are cheap and nasty including paint and steel. Anything shiny and new looks and sounds good until it’s a few years old. A 4 year old jap car is still considered new and a 4 your old ldv is comparable to a 15 to 20 year old jap car and he said he’d still rather a 15 to 20 year old jap car to any Chinese 4 year old car. You only have to look at the dramas with the new gwm haval real product reviews to see how many people are selling them back at a loss as little as weeks to months old. Personally though I’d like to see a gwm or ldv with an untouched driveline and 400.000km on the clock. The van I drove had 150.00km and it was like it was just hanging together by a thread in all areas.

haha shouldve gotten a hilux mate. Chinese shitboxes have a long way to go before they hit acceptable quality standards like the Koreans did. They made shitboxes till they got it right and make quality vehicles today.
