Try gliding it slower than what you’re doing. Also if you have the heat turned up all the way try turning it down. Last, try spraying a little bit of a flexible hold hairspray beforehand. Feel free to send me a message on Facebook or IG too and I can help you further. Don’t want you to cry gf. So please message me 😘😘. facebook.com/CarrieYourBeauty instagram.com/carrieyourbeauty/

I wanted to ask if you have ever alternated the direction in which you were curling each part? In the video, you mention that your curls were bunching into one big curl. The product does help separate the bunching but with every product I’ve used, at some point during the day, my hair would bunch back together. Once I started switching every other curl to the opposite direction from the previous curl, they didn’t bunch anymore. Hopefully I’m not telling you about something you already knew. It was just a game changer for my curls when I started to alternate. If you didn’t know and I didn’t explain it well enough, please let me know. 😊
@CarrieAbrego3 жыл бұрын
Haha yes makes sense. I’ve tried that in the past and for some reason I always end up redoing the ones I did forward and like them better curled away. Not sure why the forward ones bother me so much. Lol I’ll have to try again. It’s been awhile.

I have fine hair so no I usually don’t need to press on the thumb part. You may need to add smaller sections of hair if it’s thick and you’re having trouble gliding it.

My first couple tries after viewing several “how to” were unsuccessful. My hair kept getting stuck midway through the curl and pull through technique! I pulled out lots of hair in the process. I ended up using my old regular hair curler as I ran out of time and to fix the botched curl job. Mea culpa! I just need to practice more evidently. The videos make it look so easy too.

Is there a trick to curling the back?? I can get the front to look great, but the back, not so much. 🙄 Do you hold it differently?? I think that is key... figuring out how to hold it where you get the best curl. I can do my left side much better than my right. 🤷♀️ But the back is straight as a board!! 😭

I like to use the Trois chic three-way hairspray. I use that before hand for everything. It’s lightweight with a flexible hold. It’s not sticky. My curls always come out better and last longer when I use hairspray before curing. I just spray it all over my head. Not a ton. Just so that it hits everywhere. Let it dry for a minute. Then curl. When I’m done curling my whole head I spray again a little everywhere. I love hairspray 😆. I have fine hair though. You may not need to spray after. I recommend trying both ways and see what you like.

Also try gliding the Le duo down your hair at a slower pace. I’d go too fast you won’t get a food curl. Slow and steady.

What temperature do you set your Le Duo on?
@CarrieAbrego4 жыл бұрын
Kelly Giera I think I had it set at 320 for second half but started at 360. I try to go as low as possible until it won’t curl. If your hair will still curl fine at 300 then do it at that temp. If you need higher then go higher. I get better results if I spray hair spray or salt and sea spray in my hair prior to curling. I can then get a curl at a lower temp and the curls will last longer.

Hey! If you haven't gotten one yet.. they made a new one for long hair. It's the Le Duo GRANDE 360 Airflow. I have hair down to my bum and it works wonderfully. My mother in law got it for me for Christmas because I was convinced there was nothing out there that would work for me. But she was right. How is this tool for straighten hair?
@CarrieAbrego4 жыл бұрын
I still think a straightener works better because you squeeze it yourself and can clamp it as tight as you want. I guess you could clamp this one too by pressing the end together to create more tension. I haven’t tried that yet. Actually I haven’t tried straightening it with this tool at all. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

Contemplating getting this. What is the benefit of curling this way as opposed to using a regular curling iron? TIA!
@melissareese76053 жыл бұрын
I recently got one and I’m amazed at how easy it is!! I’ve done hair for 22 years and I’ve used many different tools. You can get slightly different curls using a flat iron or curling iron. Especially, the technique you use. Some use one over the other just out of preference and I liked that I was able to get the benefit of having a 2 in a tool. What sets this flat iron apart from others is the cooling vents. Your curls will last so much longer if they are cooled. That’s also part of the reason blow dryers have the cold shot option. If you want me to explain why it makes such a difference, let me know and I will gladly explain! Another benefit I just remembered too(it doesn’t have anything to do with flat irons vs curling irons). Every flat iron I’ve used until this one, has pulled a few hairs with each swipe. I was so excited!! My 10 year old daughter hates when I straighten/curl her hair because of the pulling. She let me try this on her hair. She instantly fell in love and she also wants to learn how to use it!!! Needless to say, I’m in love with iron!!!! I apologize for the long reply. I just love it!! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I hope it helped!
@CarrieAbrego3 жыл бұрын
With a curling iron you usually get more curl in the very end vs down the entire length of your hair strand.

Hmmm maybe glide through your hair slower. And I’m not sure how much hair is in there but maybe try a smaller strand. ??? It’s tough when I can’t see you do it, but let me know if you’ve tried those and how it went. Also, maybe it is too hot or not hot enough. Play with the heat temp as well to see what your hair responds to better. For me, I keep it at 320 or 360 degrees.
